i have a few that have stuck with me/made me think

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson- it's about a girl who is a rape victim and how she deals with it when even her closest friend doesn't believe her story.

Such a Pretty Girl by Laura Wiess- a girl who has been the victim of abuse and whose father is recently released from prison

Leftovers by Laura Wiess- this one is hard to explain, you'd just have to read it. Two best friends and their story.

A certain Slant of Light- i had never read anything quite like that before

there is one more i read in middle school that i cannot forget but i can't remember the name for it, it was about to fueding familys and the two of the teens fall in love with each other but one is unaware that the other is from the enemy family. i remember the cover of the book but not the title and it is SOOO frustrating because i would love to read it again
