Does the apocalypse inspire you? Do you write apocalyptic stories, create art of doomed cities and dark forces, or bake zombie cupcakes (cupcakes that eat you back)? Here's the place to show off. (Mmmm . . . cupcakes . . .)

Q&A for the author (thass me). Let's try to keep it to Q&A only--any discussions amongst yourselves can be posted under the "Brighid's Cross" folder. Don't fret if you yourself shuffled in that direction at some point.

Got questions? Got a favorite character? Got a bone to pick? Here's the place to ask/swoon/rant.

Share your favorite apocalypse in book/movie/TV format. Would you like to live in that world? What is the Awesome Ingredient that tickles you doomed? Discuss!

"The current Great Cycle, as the Mayas call it, is set to end on the winter solstice of 2012: December 21, 2012. Many people believe on that date the world will change and never be the same. Some predict terrible events resulting in the destruction of our world and some predict that it won’t necessarily end, but that humanity will enter a new era and massive changes in social consciousness may occur. Some even predict that humans and humanity may evolve spontaneously to a higher plane."
This is the Call for Submissions premise that inspired me to write "Brighid's Cross" for Samhain's End of Days anthology. Now I invite you to share your apocalyptic theories!
Tell us about your apocalyptic world and your story's hero/heroine. How would they save the day, and what would they have to sacrifice in order to do it?
Three winners will receive:
1) If you're an aspiring author, an in-depth critique of the first chapter of your novel-in-progress or short story.
2) If you're a reader, I'll cough up another ARC of Brighid's Cross in .pdf and some other swag to be determined, possibly involving cover art. I'm still working this bit out.

Here's your chance to "cast" Brighid's Cross! Here's cast list and how much they're worth. (Hint: there is a correct answer for these, as I cast my characters when I'm doing premliminary work.)
1. Aika: 5 pts
2. Declan: 4 pts
3. The Agent: 4 pts
4. The Old Man: 3 pts
