Dan’s comments from the I loath Ayn Rand (but continue to reread her books) group.

I don't think that Objectivism includes everyone who wants to be included and puts forth the effort to be included. It's not Ayn's fault that people don't want to be productive. And at least those portrayed in Atlas Shrugged are creating and employing hundreds of people, which creates wealth. Versus those in government, what the current politicians are doing now, who want everyonen on the dole, under their control, and beholden to them for everything, just for powers sake. They want power over people who are otherwise powerless, due to their turning their lives over to the government to live on the welfare.
