5048 Walking for the cure .... Walking for the survivors ..... Walking for the women who didn't make it .... But mostly walking for my daughter and her future!!!!

As some of you may know, I have accepted the challenge and am participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on Septmeber 12 & 13. I will be walking my first marathon at a total of 26.2 miles over the course of a weekend.

By the time you get done reading this, another woman will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer, it happens every 3 minutes.

- A death every 13 minutes due to Breast Cancer
- Women have a 1 in 8 chance of getting Breast Cancer
- And a 1 in 33 chance of dying from Breast Cancer
- Another shocking fact is that an estimated 3 million women are living with Breast Cancer and don't even know it yet.

And all this in the United States alone!!!

My mission is to raise $1800 for Breast Cancer research as part of my participation before I walk my marathon. I am counting on the support of all of you to help. Your contribution will help to support medical research into the possible causes of and cure for breast cancer, education and early detection programs, and clinical care and support services. There is special focus on helping medically under-served women with inadequate health insurance.

The easiest way to donate is right online through my personal web page. If you would prefer to donate another way just contact me and I can mail you a form. Whatever you can give is so greatly appreciated by me and the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation. Thank you in advance for you support!!!

It is a touching story about a young Chinese boy named Henry who grows up during the war in 1942 in America. Born and raised in America he is teased and ridiculed for being asain and is forced to go to an all white school. At this school he meets a Japanese girl named Keiko and they become best friends. Japan is the enemy and Keiko and her family, along with thousands of other Japanese families are forced to live in containment camps. He continues to be her friend and waits for her until the war is over and she can come home, although it doesnt work out like he wants it to.

5048 This series is by far my favorite. I love how Anita is a tough chick who goes after the monsters with all she has. I agree though, there is a lot more sex incorporated into the series. But still my fav. :-)

5048 I thought this was really good. A lot better than I thought a werewolf book would be.

5048 I'm reading this book right now. I started out not liking Lachlain because of how he took Emma and all. But I love a scottish accent so I'm coming around. I am only about a third of the way through.
