OK I admit to reading all the Thursday Next series - but my daughter made me do it - not really. She suggested I read The Eyre Affair and I then asked for all the others. It has inspired me to read and re-read some of the novels within the series - though have not gotten around to Beatrix Potter books yet - sorry Mrs Tiggy-Winkle. I love the many literary references though.

I thought the story would not be as compelling as it was. Though I thought I would not find it interesting or emotionally engaging - I eventually found myself quite caught up in the story and the lives of some of the critters. Actually pulled at my heart.
