Oooooh - I loooove Queen Latifah!!! I loved the book and always like to see a well made movie of books I've enjoyed. Too bad there aren't many of them!!

Hmmm, "cutesy" isn't a word I usually associate Dakota Fanning with! I've always thought she was an odd looking kid! They can "ugly" all of the women up, I'm sure (think Oprah in The Color Purple, EEK!).

I'm Cyndi's friend who didn't feel the same way about the book. I just thought the ending was not well thought out. I felt that Picoult took the easy road by not having to face the decision that the whole book was leading up to. I don't want to spoil it, but as soon as the decision was ultimately made, I put the book down and didn't even finish it.

I am still looking forward to seeing the movie. I'm not too thrilled about Cameron Diaz playing the mother (she's usually cast in comedies, not heart wrenching mother roles) but Abagail Breslin should make it interesting!
