Hello! This month's book is North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. It is such a beloved classic by an author I've never read anything from so I am super excited to get to it!
It is a pretty big book and I am a little bit intimidated but honestly, I cannot wait to pick it up this month.

Hello!! What classic would you like to read in February?
I still would love to pick up North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell, or maybe Villete by Charlotte Bronte.

Happy new year everyone!
It looks like wer're going to start the year with a Jane Austen book! Sense and sensibility is going to be our group read for January and I, personally, couldn't be more excited! Have you read this book before or are you going to read it for the first time?

I'm currently reading it right after having read The Afterlife of Holly Chase (a very unique YA retelling of the story) and I feel like I'm understanding it way more than I'd have done if I hadn't read Holly Chase first.

I can't believe we're already planning what to read in 2019! This year has flown by!
As I really enjoyed reading Emma last month I'd suggest reading another Jane Austen book! I'd love to get to either the much loved Pride and Prejudice or Persuasion!
Which classic would you love to start the year with?

So in December we're going to be reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens!
Surprsingly, I've never read it (ok I did read an adaptaton when I was around 8 for my English class but that doesn't count) so I am super excited to read it!

I've never read anything from Agatha Christie so I'd be really excited to read that one!

December is all about Christmas and feeling warm and cozy so for this upcoming month I'd love to learn some fun Christmassy books. I'd suggest The Nutcracker by ETA Hoffmann or a Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
Can't wait to see your suggestions!

Hello! This month we're going to be reading Emma by Jane Austen.
Personaly, I've never read it but I have always wanted to so I am super excited to get to it!
Have you read it before? If so, did you like it?
Kristen wrote: "This group has already read Catcher in the Rye so I don't think that will work. I'm interested in reading Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton or Emma by Jane Austen for the colder months here in the US."ohh i'm so sorry i completely forgot!
i'd love to read emma or ethan frome! the latter one sounds amazing for the wintery time

Hello! In case you haven't read the announcement post I'm now a new moderator.
I just realized that there wasn't a post to suggest classics to read next month so here it is.
In November I feel like reading a modern classic! I'd suggest The Catcher in the Rye, 1984 or Fahrenheint 451.
Can't wait to read all of your suggestions!

I won't be reading it either as I read it back in May/June. It's one of my favourite classics so I hope you love it as much as I did!

I'm loving the writing but i've already read some scenes that have made me feel uncomfortable

Yes! I'm so down for a gothic spooky book in october.
We have always lived in the castle sounds amazing i'd love to read it.
Also, I thought about reading The Phantom of the Opera.

This is my first time reading it as well, I hope i'm not too disturbed by the book to the point where i have to stop reading

Northanger Abbey sounds so good, I'd love to read it.
Also I'd really like to finally dive into Lolita.

I just finished reading the book and I really really enjoyed it even though the characters were so easy to dislike 😂

I started it yesterday and I'm really enjoying it so far, it's very interesting!

For August I feel like reading a children's classic like Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland

when are we going to vote for the book we'll read?
