Hi im not asking a new reader question. I wonder about one important thing. Im gonna write literary science C paper about Hammett works, his times and your Matt Scudder works, the times they were set in. Try to analyze two writers works, their times through their works. I wanted to write about authors that show hardboiled PI can be quality literature, something that interested me.

What i want to ask is there books that talk about your writing that i can use as reference ? Hammett being classic author is easier to find books about than a modern great.

I hope you can help me out because i want to write a very good paper. Its not a fan thing only to compare two writers in the same field.

No i havent read Emerson books yet, i read my first book of yours only last year. Im on Scudder 6 so i havent read your pennames yet. Im alittle late but a big fan :)

I dont read erotic novels usually but i will try yours and DEW.

Haha as Hard Case Crime reader im too used to books being first publishing in 30 years thing.

I thought when i read the synopsis the writer of Matt Scudder can really do something special with this kind of story. We are not new readers like to be put off.

Yeah thankfully he was so prolific i have still not read as much as i would like. I have focused more on Parker,Dortmunder books first. 361 was a real nice early Richard Stark like novel.

Speaking about Getting Off that cover sold me on the book even if the writer wasnt a big name. Any reason the novel wasnt published earlier ?

By the way thanks for writing wonderul,real character like Matt Scudder,they way you made NYC come alive in the series.
