Have you read any good science fiction books lately? If you haven’t yet, you should try reading my 60 page novella called The Runner, which was based on “Wool” series by Hugh Howey. To my great surprise he read it—and enjoyed it!--and encouraged me to publish it on Amazon for a dollar. Being the first fanfiction based on Howey’s book, I was so pleased with the reader response (in the form of reviews and sales) that I decided to explore a little deeper and I wrote two sequels (The Diver and The Watcher). This little series that erupted out of a love for a story has continued to impress me with its ability to keep entertaining new readers as well as giving wool fans another excuse to delve back into the Silo.
