Stephenie says she started writing Twilight after she saw Edward and Bella together in a dream. She wrote the series over the summer and, despite knowing next to nothing about the publishing world, had a three book deal with Little Brown within six months (Woohoo!). What do you think about that? Have any of you had similar experiences?

My name's Mia. I'm a Librarian here on GoodReads.com and a huge fan of the series (which is why I started this group hehe).
I'm also a writer and working on my own YA Paranormal series that involves both witches AND vampires. I'll post a thread for that here when the official site goes online.
I've met Stephenie and she is a real sweetheart. She truly deserves all the success and praise she is receiving.
