The movie was about as good as it gets for, not a movie version of the book, but for someone's interpretation of a screenplay ADAPTED from the book can get.

The only thing lacking was the epic love between Edward and Bella that makes the story so great. They made a cute screen-couple, but I didn't see any of that "unconditional and irrevocable" love that is definitely needed.
