With kids I find I am in the library pretty much once a week. The programs they have for kids are amazing. Always something going on. And, we love getting out videos, music, and of course books. Unfortunately, I am not really a browser at the library. Even with a 3 year old, we are in and out just grabbing whatever looks good off the shelf. What I really love are the displays of kids books that are easy to grab. And, when I have time, the Rapid Reads display typically has something that I can finish in the short time allotted.

Did anyone hear yesterday about the scandal around memoirs lately? Apparently people are writing fiction and passing it off as memoir. I was particularly disappointed that Greg Mortenson who wrote Three Cups of Tea is named as being somewhat of a scam.

In the past I bought classics at used book places for $0.50. If I really loved one, I would definitely buy it in hardcover.

I'll keep you posted. There's interesting information out there for each diet.

I'm working through the Omnivore's Dilemma. Very interesting. My friends out here are split between eating vegetarian and eating a hunter/gather (paleo) diet. It's incredible how industrialized our food has become.
The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals

Hi, I'm Angie! Books are closing in around me. My husband and I read very different stuff so that makes for a diverse library. Reading political, history, and short story lately.
