44408 Fear The Worst by Linwood Barclay is a book that must be read by all Canadians. Anyone who enjoys suspense, thrilling, and heart throbbing books must read this well written story. People who love watching shows like "Dexter" will love this book. Why this book relates to Dexter is the suspense. This book made me want to read every single page to the end. Just like how Dexter is a show full of surprises, this book is full of surprises as well. It is very well written in a language where all people who enjoy reading will understand.

In a simple paragraph, this book is about a man named Tim who lives a life with his daughter. To his own surprise Tim does not know a lot about his daughter. Well at least he thought he knew, but he didn't. His daughter gets lost and he seeks out an adventure full of excitement for any reader to enjoy and he finds out that his daughter never worked at the hotel she claimed she did. Whether he finds his daughter or not is not the only mystery to the story. Other people as well are looking for his daughter. Just to give you a little taste about the book, when Tim goes to the hotel where his daughter "worked", the people at the hotel say that she never worked there. All this time Sydney who is the daughter of Tim has been lying to his dad. That is enough about the summary. Everyone must read this book to know what actually happens.

Here is a quote from the book that I found really interesting. "I told the police everything I could think of. I wish the hell I knew. I'm hoping maybe she just met some guy, she's run off with him for a week or something, and she'll come on back. Knocked up, probably, but at least she'll be back." Why I found this quote interesting is because this man didn't care what his daughter did as long as he could at least see her again. This book is not only thrilling but it is touching. It makes a man/woman respect having his daughter for granted. It makes a man/woman happy that he knows where his daughter is at all times. Personally, this book makes a man/woman realize how much his or her daughter actually means to them.

Another important reason why all people should read this book is because it is simply not a boring book. I have read many books in my life that I ended up not reading, and books that I couldn't wait to finish because they were just that poor. I have slept through many books in my life. This has been the only book in my life that I actually read more and slept less. Thrilling books have a lot of meaning to them. It makes time go by like never before. It makes a person realize how much he/she put time into something, and enjoyed every bit of it.

Another reason why a person might love this book is because it has suspense. I couldn't wait till I found out if he actually did ever find his daughter again. For all 400 pages of the book, I felt as if this was real, and I actually felt bad for Tim. This is a must read book for everyone. No one will be disappointed by this book.

In conclusion, Canadians will love this book because Linwood Barclay has amazing books and he never gets boring or repetitive. I don't read plenty of books myself, but when I do find a book that I admire, I make sure I read every bit and piece of it. Everyone must read this book, they will enjoy it, and have a great reflection upon it.

44408 This book "Fear The worst" by Linwood Barclay piqued my interest because as I was reading the back of the book, the book got to my attention. Without even reading the first page of the book, the summary of it made me want to read the book. It is never good to judge a book by it's cover, but this book's cover is intriguing. Also Linwood Barclay is an author whose books are thrilling and full of suspense. Also he had a bestselling book "Too close to home" and since he has had recognition for his other books, I decided to get a book by him as well. I personally like suspense and thrilling books, and this looks like the book that is perfect for me. It makes me want to read more and more, and it never slows down.

This book is about a guy named Tim who sells cars. His daugther Sydney, has vanished into thin air. At the hotel where she supposedly worked, no one has ever heard of her. Now that the days pass on without word, Tim must face the fact that he may not have known his daughter as well as he thought. There are also others who want to find Sydney as much as Tim does.

Just reading this got me interested in the book. Books like these are my favourite because they keep you in tune of the book and they make you want to read more and more. It is like a roller coaster to the mind, and it keeps a person at the edge of his or her seat. So far as I am reading this book, I am loving it and I like putting my time into a well written book.
