44408 Have you ever created a crazy most absurd idea or plan, that you make for the sole purpose of failing. Well that's what happens to a certain Daniel Addison (a recently retired liberal speech writer, and his small yet resilient and hard-working campaign team. In this story, after Daniel burned out of his job in Ottowa and his former relationship, leaves for Cumberland Prescott to try and get away from politics. this only to get pulled right back into it, by finding a liberal candidate for that ridding the most secure torry seat in Canada. Certain events come to play when he finds the perfect man for the job Angus McLintock.
Angus agrees to do the job as long as Daniel teaches his english for engineers class (something Angus hates to teach), But there's a catch. Angus refuses to have any posters put up, have any interviews, hold any press conferences, or any other public interacting event. Only putting his name on the ballet. This was a sure fire way not to win as a win there wasn't necessary. Although due to some crazy and very unexpected events, Daniel's plan works, But the story doen't end there. Not at all.

This story is not like most Canadian stories. It isn't just some story that was wrote in Canada. it actually has to do with Canada and the politics in the country. it's funny, satiric and will leave you wanting more. It really feels like a TV show. when you read each chapter it feels like episode leading up to the last chapter(the season finally).

Terry Fallis had trouble getting his this marvelous story out there because publishers didn't trust a first timer like him. So he week by week made a pod cast about this story that, was well liked by the public. so published it himself with the donations from the podcast listeners. People loved it which, got the attention of publishing companies. Things really change for the better since then. Terry got the break he needed to bring this amazing story to Canada and the world. This uplifting story of how this book was made, really shows what it takes for one's ideas to come to pass.

Candians should read this book because not only is it actually interesting, it gives people information on candiian politics. The best laid plan uses real candian terms, and also brings to play our canadian feel for our friends south of the boarder. Terry fallis really understands the mean of being Canadian, all the ups and downs that come with it.

Terry Fallis has already written the sequel to this amazing, satiric knowledgeable story. I also plan on reading it so i can learn more about Canada and have a good time all at once. I know what I want and get out of a book, Do you? Read The Best Laid plan by Terry Fallis today! Terry Fallis The Best Laid Plans by Terry Fallis The Best Laid Plans

44408 I wanted to read this book because, it is an award winning book, it had a nice looking cover and because of the authour's backround story. The the fact that it was a cheep book only $13.50, plus it had a comedic sort of flow to it.

I chose this authour because, his book took a long time to get published because he was not as yet a crditable authour yet. Therefore he made his book into a podcast, each week telling the story of the best laid plan. People really liked it, encouraging him to publish it on his own. more people liked it. The book won him the stephen leacock award for humour.

Me not knowing why or what i wanted to read caught sight of this. "The stephen Leacock award that is my school" so i was like What the hell. This was god telling me since you go to this school you might as well read a book that got the award that your school was also named after, Stephen leacock.
