Death Along the Spirit Road is in nook or kindle format for $10, paper back for a little less.
I'd love to do a group read, just let me know. I have no suggestions though. sorry. If I think of any I'll post.
ok only suggestion I can think of is Little Bee by Chris Cleave.

I can probably get a kindle app on my computer but I don't always have access to the computer so that's not that practical, it would take me forever to read it. If it becomes available in nook format let me know.

I have a nook and can't get the book either

I did read it and I did like The Help. I hope the movie is good too.

My favorite book is Where Late The Sweet Birds Sang by Kate Wilhelm. I first read this in my early twenties and for some reason it spoke to me. I love this book. At its most basic it's about being yourself and that is something my mom always told me to be and something I wish I would remember more. It's about individulasism (I know I spelled that wrong). I read it maybe once a year or so, and still like it.
What is your favorite book that I should read?

I just finished Michael Tolliver Lives and it was good but not great, not like the other Tales of the city books which I just loved. I think it was because I didn't really want the characters to grow up, I wanted them to stay in that time period.
Next I'll be reading Angels Flight by Michael Connelly, the next book in the Harry Bosch series.
I usually like to concentrate on one book at a time, but do have a few others open that I'm only so/so interested in that I can go back to.

Hi Hamsterfan, I liked the Fifth Woman but right now I think Sidetracked would be my favorite, but it's hard to pick. Well maybe not a favorite but one I've remembered too well.

I am also right now into the mysteries/thrillers. I'm reading a lot of cop dramas - Michael Connelly and Henning Mankell are the top 2 authors at the moment. But I'm up to reading anything. I'm impressed that some of you have 100s of books listed already!
