I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer When someone mentioned this title to me, I did a little investigating. Here’s what I discovered: it’s a true crime book about a serial rapist turned serial murderer, the author died while working on the book, she was married to
Patton Oswalt, and she’s my age. I felt compelled to read it. It’s not my cup of tea, but McNamara’s writing is good, “The knife grazes the skin, and the labored breathing resumes, grows closer, until she feels him settle in next to her, an animal waiting patiently for its half-dying quarry to still.” Plan on reading it during the day.

Read a Graphic Novel. It could be based on a superhero, like
Ta-Nehisi Coates’s
Black Panther #1 or realistic fiction like
The Wendy Project. Science Fiction, history, manga. Really any subject, but in graphic novel format.
