"Would you hold her for a bit? My ankles are getting a little sore."

"I'm not going to hurt you unless you do something you have to be hurt for." Chatiro pouted.

Peace cooed at him, reaching towards him. "Dad's being a joker," she told her.

"You do? Great!" Chatiro grinned, showing his teeth again.

"It's the ferris wheel again, silly."

"Then I swear by whatever god or person you believe in the most that I will never lie to you." He put both rights hands on top of his heart.

Arachne nodded, watching as they crept closer to the ride once more as each cart was filled.

"What kind of promise is a pinkie promise? Can't I just say some vow that I'll never lie to you or something like that?"

"Oh, that? You get so dizzy on those, but they're really fun. Should we go on those now or after this?"

"I never lie. I may keep secrets or dodge the truth, but I never, ever lie." Chatiro stated.

She gave him a chaste kiss, giggling half-way through it.

"How is it so confusing? I would hardly go out and track one woman down and kill her. It would take too much work and effort and time wasted." He pushed a finger against Devon's forehead. "Don't do that. You'll damage what little brain you have."

Arachne let out a full belly laugh. "Oh, I love you, Markos."

"Why would I hurt your mom, stupid?"

Arachne turned to look at him and gave a giggle. "You look happy."

"Good for you. Not many mutants I know still have their mothers to talk about. So where is she?" He leaned against the bars once more.

"Then let's get in line." Arachne smiled at him as she carried Peace out of the cart and down to the end of the relatively short line.

Chatiro stared at him. "Your mom? Is she still alive?"

"I'd love to see some other rides. Should we come back to this after a little while?" Arachne asked as the wheel started to slow down.

"H-he was human too! I look like my father! she said so!"

Markos shrugged in resignation. "Any chance we can ride it again?"

Arachne grinned. "Of course. We'd just have to go in the line again, so it's fair for everyone."

"Until they let us off. Which will probably be soon." Arachne smiled at him warmly.

"Yes. You're as filthy as me in that sense. We're both humans that are no longer human."

Arachne laughed as well, the ride going once more around.

"Well I'm in a cage." He pouted. "They wouldn't have done nothing."

Markos took in the spectacle. It was like flying only less dangerous (to him) and a lot more relaxing. He had never seen so much beauty up this high. It was almost like another nature film come to life.

Peace gurgled right in Markos' ear before giggling.
"She seems to have gained a love of teasing."
