417131 for this one I chose 1984 which has been on my list, and about 1/4 read, for way too long. so glad I finished it, I loved it!

417131 I decided to read "Long Way Down", which is a book written as poetry, about a kid whose brother is shot and so he decides to take revenge. the book takes place during the elevator ride down his building on his way to kill his brothers killer. it's so original, captivating, and heartbreaking. I really recommend it, don't be fooled by it's YA designation at the library!

417131 I read "Little fires everywhere" for this topic because I had been seeing it everywhere, and I actually really liked it! it's very much that suburban mystery genre that's popular right now, but it was a fun quick read, and the writing wasn't bad. I'd recommend it!

417131 ended up reading "Kafka on the Shore" which was superrrr trippy, but I liked it!

417131 I actually ended up reading "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle," which is about producing your own food and American food culture. really interesting!

417131 I'm thinking of reading something by Huruki Murakami, been wanting to read him for awhile. But a Man called Ove sounds great, might have to check that out!

417131 I would really like to read a book about Islam, does anyone have a suggested reading for this?

417131 this sounds so good, I think I'm going to do it too!

417131 I'm re-reading The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson (I put it on the group shelf) for this category because the newest book in the Stormlight Archive was released, but I need to refresh the first 2 books before I read it!

If you like fantasy and you haven't read this yet, it's absolutely one of the best works of fantasy out there, I can't recommend it highly enough.
417131 no rule about fiction or non-fiction unless specified! that's meant to give people flexibility to read within genres they really like or want to read more of, so Malala would be an awesome choice

417131 and you should totally post the longer version in case people want it! I might check it out and add a few extra to make it a nice round 20😊

417131 ooh good question. I'm not doing them in order because I'm trying to be flexible in case something randomly croses my path. but I didn't specify either way, so you pick!
