@Barb, I chose 12 as a number because i wanted something that I hadn't chosen before, but I think for 2006 that was too aspirational lol.I had enough books on my TBR but not many were in my library, so many don't have audiobook versions at all and the kindle ebooks were expensive.
@Michelle, I'm sorry! So I'm thinking - if you don't have any book on your TBR that's available, you can do any of the following options.- Any other book on your TBR by an author of your 2006 books.
- a book that was published in 2005 or 2007, the closer to 2006 the better (I.e, October 2005 or January 2007)
- a book which has a paperback or mass market paperback edition published in 2006.
Let me know which one works for you, and do make a note.

Apparently the only books I have saved from 2006 are parts of series, but I haven't actually made it to that number yet. Can I ..."Karen, since you have no other 2006 book but something later in a series, go ahead and read an earlier book in the series and make a note! The point is to eliminate books from your TBR anyway so don't sit it out if you don't want to. :)
I had a lot of trouble with this one even though I have plenty of contenders on my TBR. The problem was that a lot of them weren't easily available, and the ebook cost was too high. I landed on #828: Murder on the Rocks by Karen MacInerney (pub., May 1, 2006) ultimately which is thankfully on the Audible Plus Catalog.
Last callout for Beginner's Luck this round!BL/HR : June 7, 2025: Read the TWELFTH book on your TBR first published in 2006. (tell us when it was published).
Per usual, if you don't have 12 books published in 2006, use the last one on your TBR published in 2006.
Thanks Barb! Bucket, I'm sorry! I think you posted right as I was traveling and was gone for a whole month, and I missed that post when I came back. Congrats on finishing the first round and good luck on the second!

The murder was not by arson.
