I picked this audio book up after reaching out on Facebook for a good cop drama to dive into. As this is one of my favorite genres, I fell into it pretty fast.
Also Michael Pauley is the narrator and I
adore him.
I'm about 45% in currently. The banter is fantastic! Evans has +10 to charm for his southern drawl and Thane is +10 to sexy for being bookish.
Not a ton of action so far, but the characters are *awesome*.

This is one of the books I've been DYING to read since I bought it last year at GRL. I'm about ~25% in currently and enjoying it so far.
This will be my second ever merman book besides
Marine Biology. I'm really eager to see what Anthony does with them!!

I'm extremely tempted to re-listen to all of Cut and Run again too. I miss those guys!
Sorry the new job is rough!

This book was fun!! Very cute and fluffy.

This is kind of an insta-love situation, and I'm not usually for those, but it worked. Since Stanley had to bounce back and forth and keep dying, I guess it made him more apt to falling head over heels pretty quick.
I will say, you can tell North has done some serious research into this book. The little things I picked up on -- like Americans being associated with sneakers and Stanley's vocabulary -- really brought this home.

One of Markie's Summer reading picks and our Fresh Banana of the month!

This month we're doing something a little different.
Instead of picking just one book for our BOTM pick, we're going through our backlog and catching up on a lot of books! We'll start a thread for each one we pick. Wanna read with us or have read it in the past? Jump in and chat!
Share the books you're currently reading! We might just pick it up too!

Our June BOTM is
Unbroken by Sloane Kennedy!
This is the 12th book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone work. I'm a huuuuge fan of this series so I'm very excited we get to read it!
Make sure to mark any spoilers!!

I finished this book last weekend and really enjoyed it! Has anyone else had a chance to dig in? What did you think?

Our BOTM pick this month is
Sinister Hunger by Katze Snow!
This is the first of her new series and we're excited to get our hands on it. Jump in and tell us what you think! Don't forget to tag spoilers!

Since I read All Kinds of Tied Down first, I'm so giddy I get to see his story. He's such a big bad ass!!
And I like Jory! I think he's hilarious.
AnnMarie wrote: "I adore Mary's books, love, love, LOVE them :) I re-read the entire Chicago Land world of hers over the last two months in anticipation of the conclusion to the Ian & Miro arc of the Marshals books..."This is awesome! I'm glad we picked one of your favorite authors. I finished All Kinds of Tied Down, so I'll have to start A Matter of Time soon.

April's BOTM this month is
All Kinds of Tied Down by Mary Calmes!
This is the first time we're reading any of Mary's work. Have you read her before? Do you like the Marshal's series?
Make sure you tag spoilers!!

"Would you like to visit the main bitch with me tomorrow?"

Grats on the nephew!!

K.A. Merikan mentioned a fetish book where a man dresses up as a "mother" to discipline a rugged guy. They just posted the blurb on Goodreads. The title is
Under His Stiletto.
I have no idea what to think of this book, but I feel like I'm going to get it out of pure curiosity.
AnnMarie wrote: "I read the first 4 in the Guns n' Boys series and the first 6 in the Sex & Mayhem series, loved them all. I was planning on re-reading all of them and then catching up to current on the series(es?)..."I got to book 3 in GnB, so I'm looking forward to diving back in. If you haven't had a chance to read the Kings of Hell series, starting with
Laurent and the Beast, I highly recommend it. It's suuuper good.
I was thinking, if I have time, of doing an alt pick of one of their other books to have extra discussions. We'll see how the month goes.
