Hi Guys!I am at just over 30,000 pages now so I'm only 6,000 pages away from my goal of Dwarf Peach! I am going to push for Eastern Redbud and maybe even Apple Tree!
Here's some of my favorites since my last update:
The Serpent King
Before She Ignites
The Orphan's Tale
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe
An American Marriage
The Wise Man's Fear
I've read some awesome books this year but my absolute favorites have been
Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society! I loved both of these so much, I already want to re-read them.

My progress update:I am currently at 11,391 pages and my reading goal is Dwarf Peach, 36,000 pages. So I am almost 1/3 of the way finished! I am currently reading 6 books which should help me get ahead a little.
Unfortunately, I've been in a little bit of a rut the last couple of weeks. I've struggled through several books and just put a handful of others down, maybe never to be picked up again. However, I feel my rut coming to an end! Several new books I am very excited for are coming out over the next couple of months. Most notably, War Storm and A Court of Frost and Starlight in May, A Reaper at the Gates in June, and in October Kingdom of Ash. My favorite book of the year so far is A Court of Mist and Fury, the second book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) series.
Happy Reading!
My goal is Dwarf Peach - 36,000 pages and I am currently around 6,800. If I maintain that, I am on track to reach 41,000! If I really push myself, I can maybe reach Eastern Redbud, a 10,000 page jump from what I read last year. Noteworthy books I've read so far:
Throne of Glass (I read books 1 & 2 in 2017 actually but I love this series! This series is definitely one in which each book is better than the last.)
The Name of the Wind (Did I really put off reading this for so long because book 1 is 700 pages and book 2 is 1000?)
The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane (I wish I liked tea but now I know so much about it!)
Still Foolin' 'Em: Where I've Been, Where I'm Going, and Where the Hell Are My Keys (Give me more When Harry Met Sally facts!)
Everyone seems to be doing great! Keep up the good work!
Happy Reading
If you're looking for a good spreadsheet reading tracker, here's mine!https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
This isn't originally my spreadsheet but I did a lot of work to make it more usable. That being said, I recommend hiding columns you don't want to use instead of deleting!
How is everyone planning to meeting their reading goal? Are you doing another challenge at the same time? Will you look at your bookshelves and decide to finally tackle the biggest, baddest books you have? Will you read whatever strikes your fancy in the moment? Or something else entirely? My general plan is to do the SFFBC Challenge https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... to finally whittle down the number of books I own and haven't read, and the TBR Cleanup Challenge https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... and make as many of those books ones I own as well.
I like to read multiple books at a time with at least one book in print, digital, and audio formats. I don't own many ebooks and no audiobooks so for these formats I will primarily be reading whatever strikes my fancy. I'm not going to take either of the above challenges very seriously. I mostly wanted something to use as a guide when deciding what books I want to tackle.
Happy Reading!
Happy to have you all!I added a few intermediary levels to the challenge but the original core ones stayed the same for the most part. Feel free to edit your goal post or set a new goal if one of the other levels suits you better!
I was shocked how much more I have been able to read since finishing college in May! I no longer feel guilty about reading books I want to over ones for school so more reading in general gets done.
Glad to have you participating Jenna! If there is the demand in 2018 I can make the gaps between levels smaller. 12,000 pages is a rather wide gap but my reasoning was for everyone to get a feel for where they would be in 2018 and maybe close the gaps in 2019 to make it easier to have incremental goals.
It is nice to meet you and I will try to remember your name :)It makes me incredibly happy that you own two different e-readers.
I don't know if I'm doing any other reading challenges yet. I currently I have an amalgam of a few different ones combined into 1 DIY challenge.
My 2018 reading goal is Dwarf Peach! By the end of this year I will have probably read around 31,000 pages, including some audiobooks, so if I don't slack off, I think I can manage 36,000 in 2018. I am also going to make as many of those pages as I can come from books I own and have not read. Happy Reading!
