from the Q&A with Cassandra Clare group.

Not expecting THE Cassandra Clare to answer especially since she is sick and all (all best wishes from me) but I have to ask:Why are Jace and Clary heads of the institute when Alec was still unemployed at the time. I mean he could clearly run it better than them and he clearly has a strong mind when it comes to problem solving. Jace and Clary were immature. And they both had to deal with the villain (most amongst others) and all. I doubt everyone would suddenly trust them straight after the war to cast a vote in their favour (psychological fact).
Isabelle would have been a better head. I mean no matter how immature she can get, she would still have been a better head than those 2.
Sending lots of love. Hope you get better.
