Okay.
***********************SPOILER************************When the Clockwork get entrance inside the institute and they use Jem's blood to get in...I though that only those who intend no harm to the institute may enter as mentioned by Jace in Ashes in think. Is it because they are mechanical that they could get in like that? even though they still intended harm.Maybe they change this by the time MI comes around due to similar incidents like this I mean shadowhunters must lose blood when fighting (sometimes right) if somebody was keen to get it they should be able to.
And lastly loved CA and ALL its characters though im i wont be able to decide between Will and Jem right until the end.
Well, as you said, the protections on the NYC Institute and the London Institute may not be exactly the same. But either way, due to the nature of the mechanical creatures, it's unlikely they'd trip up "intent" magic wards. They have no intentions, only programming. They have no hostility to pick up on. They have no brains or feelings. When the Institute keeps out a murderer, it isn't blocking the sword; it's blocking the guy who wields it.

Also, will Mortmain come back in CP (2nd IF book) or will we be introduced to a new villain?
Thanks!!!"
That's really difficult. (Not like TMi, where I always knew I'd choose Simon!) See, I know what makes Will tick, so I could solve his problem for him, thus making him less of a jerk. And while Jem is wonderful, he's dying, and I wouldn't want my heart broken. So probably Will.
Also, will Mortmain come back in CP (2nd IF book) or will we be introduced to a new villain?
If you don't kill a villain off in the first book, you can be pretty sure of seeing him again later.

Is Jace a virgin?
Sorry if this is, like, wrong in any way, but I'm really curious!!! :)"
Still not answering this one.

This isn't really a TMI or CA question, but for book signings do you only sign one item?
Thanks!!"
Book signing rules are not set by authors but by the bookstore they sign in.

Well, that's one of the big questions of the series. A lot of people think Will went to Magnus at the end of the book to see if he could figure out a way for Tessa to be able to have children.

Fortunately most people are not like that. I have found by and large this group on Goodreads to be enthused and polite and respectful.

Many are.

No, Jace didn't keep this information from Simon and Clary to be mean. I've always thought that, in the course of the incredibly confusing and swift-moving events of the night, he simply didn't think of Simon having given Raphael a quick bite in rat form later, or pushed it to the back of his mind. Remember, it's not like getting a bit of vampire blood in your mouth actually turns you into a a vampire — it just makes you want to go seek out the vampire whose blood you drank. If Simon had simply stayed away from the Dumort another week (and he never tells anyone about his symptoms, either) he'd have been fine. He didn't consume anywhere near the amount of blood Will did. It was a really unfortunate concentation of circumstances that led to Simon becoming a vampire, but not anyone's intentional fault.

******************SPOILER FOR CLOCKWORK ANGEL********************
However, I've been scouring the book in search o..."
well, you're right that the box is important.

Jocelyn's a good fighter. But she also hates the Clave. It'll take something big to bring her back to Shadowhunting as a warrior.

Did you always plan to have 6 books in The Mortal Instruments series? I was just wondering, since it seemed like City of Glass wrapped up so nicely, that that was simply the end of things.
"
I'm glad you thought so! Let me just say, a lot of people did not. Boy did I get a lot of email complaining thst the ending wasn't resolved.
I did not always plan for the books to be six. For one thing, it's really really hard as a debut writer to sell six books. Three's a lot easier. Then I had the Infernal Devices idea and I sold those. BUT I did always plan to spin off other stories from the end of City of Glass. In fact, by the time I wrote City of Glass I had a deal in place to write a graphic novel series about Simon, so I deliberately left most of his plot threads - what does the Mark of Cain really mean, what girl will he end up with — unresolved. In fact, I deliberately left several plot threads, even those that didn't have to do with Simon, unresolved so that they could be touched on in the Simon comics.
Then the graphic novel deal fell through, but I still wanted to write the story. Stories don't just go out of your head because you can't come to a contractual agreement about them. So I decided to write it as a novel, an as soon as I did, subplots started springing up around Simon's story like weeds and pretty soon I had a new trilogy about all the characters.

Hi, Chelsea. I have answered this question a bunch of times already, so I'm going to point you toward my website.

"There are going to be six books in the Mortal Instruments series..."
All the release dates are there as well. The release date for City of Fallen Angels is also on its Amazon page, on the Simon and Schuster page, and on the book's page on Goodreads, but my site is in general the most reliable source.

As has already been pointed out, the reason I didn't reply to you is that you asked me this:
""I was wondering what your favorite book that you have wrote is?"
Which by the time you had asked me it, I had already repeatedly answered three or four times, and this:
" Also I was wondering your opinion on The Hunger Games trilogy, have you ever read it? If so do you like it?"
which relates neither to any of my books, or to my writing. If you cannot be bothered to read the rules posted at the beginning of the thread (questions must be about my books or writing, no movie questions, etc) and you cannot be bothered to even briefly check to see if your question has already been answered elsewhere, it seems uncalled for to begin shrieking at other people for not paying enough attention to you. I am sure I have missed other people's questions, due to the overwhelming number of posts on this thread, but none of the rest of them have resorted to rudeness.

Maybe she reminds Clary of someone else she has met or seen.
Will and Jace are related correct?
The same last name thing kind of gives it away.
Is it possible for Tessa to be also, I realize that she is some-kind of warlock?
Related to them? ANOTHER book where the girl turns out to be related to a guy she likes? Yikes.

Here's my Goodreads profile.

another thing, u cannot drop a bomb like, there is a new villian which u would never have suspected and not expect me to freak out and reread the books looking for the evil guy! a little hint would be greatly appreciated and it would help me get through the next months waiting for your new books without trying to harrass you every two seconds :D
Oh, I am not really bothered by harassment. Harass away.

No. Luke is massively lying in this scene about how he feels about Jocelyn because it would be catastrophically stupid to admit his feelings for her to Valentine's minions. Of course he'd trade her for the Cup if he could but HE DOESN'T KNOW WHERE IT IS. Also, he knows that they'd never follow through on the deal even if he did. You can't use a flat-out lie a character tells as an example of their actual feelings.
And I'm asking if it's like that with Clary and Simon.
Is the situation with Clary and Simon like a complete and total lie Luke makes up on the spot to get himself out of a tight situation? No.
Because let's say Clary is Jocelyn and Simon is Luke and they are in the same situation in CoFA ????"
I think you have to keep in mind that characters lie. Even narrators lie, but all characters in books lie — you cannot take everything they say at face value.
None of this, I suppose, is to say that Simon could not be the one tempted by darkness. But the Luke example is not a good one.

Permanent in the sense that any job is. They could quit, or die, and then be replaced.
2) I'm planning to Attend your Toronto book signing on November 5th. Am I aloud to bring my copys of City of Bones, Ashes, Glass to get signed ? or is that to much"
You can bring anything you want.

The magic comes naturally but they still need training. If they are raised by their demon parent the demon parent can seek training for them. Otherwise they have to find it themselves, usually.
Where did Magnus learn how to use his powers? Who trained him?
Patience.
3. How is Magnus biracial if one of his parents was a demon?
Because his mother was biracial. As demons are not really a "race", the warlock retains the race of their human parent.
4. What kind of powers do warlocks have? Can they do anything as long as it doesn't drain them?
Depends on the warlock and their level of innate skill and training.
5. Did Alec seeing Magnus through Clary's love rune have an impact on him, or did he already know the extent of his love for Magnus? And vice versa."
I imagine Alec was surprised, Magnus less so.

(or the UK, so I can order it from www.play.com)"
I have no idea. It actually came out in Europe before it came out here, at least in Germany and places with other large English-language bookstores. But there's no release "date". It came out in the UK a month ago. I'd suggest just ordering it off bookdepository.com.
