Has anyone read anything by Neal Stephenson? Any recommendations? His books sound amazing but also very daunting.

I've always wondered what the female dwarfs look like. I think there should have been some dwarf women at the battle of the five armies. But who am I to correct Tolkien lol

Also I'm not very tall, the love of my life actually reminds me of Gimli sometimes and when it comes to weapons I've always fancied a short axe :D

Thanks! This is really helpful. All my books are on my e-reader so I might not have an ISBN number. As for page numbers I'll stick with goodreads if that's ok. I use FBreader and it sometimes formats the page numbers differently. It depends which font I use and which text size. I just don't think it'll be acurate enough.

I liked The Book Thief. I'm originally from Germany and we read lots of books about the Holocaust and WWII in school. I think this is the kind of book that will engage young people and make them think about what happened in Germany during that time.

I'll never forget reading When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit. Anybody heard of it?

I love Enterprise!! I'm still gutted it only got 4 seasons Definetely underrated. I could listen to Trip all day :)

I'll try Dark Matter, sounds good! There are some interesting new sci-fi shows coming out. I like the sound of " Childhood's End" based on a Arther C. Clarke short story (I think). And it's got Charles Dance. THAT VOICE!!

Battlestar Gallactica is soooo good! One of the best new(ish) scifi shows. The genre seems to be getting more and more popular :)

I've seen a couple of people post the tv shows they're watching so I'll add mine. Me and my other half are big into sci-fi so we've been watching all the Star Trek shows plus Babylon 5 and are now in the middle of Stargate.
I've got a major older-man crush on Colonel Jack O'Neill :D He's so sassy *blush*

I gave up too soon I think. I loved the story and the world building. It was the way he wrote the female characters and the fact that they couldn't stop bickering that put me off I think. I'll give them another go though!

I've got a few Dresden books left to finish. They're always an easy read. I was thinking of having another go at "The Wheel of Time" because I'm a massive Sanderson fan and I hear the last books are awesome. Maybe this time I'll make it past book 4 :)

Just had a look at all the goals. I've stopped worrying now :D there's so many goals I reckon most of my books willl fit in somewhere.

I like participating in BOM reads but am not very good with DQs either. I don't like the pressure :(

Should we say if we're reading a book that fits one of the goals or just post a quick review once we're done. If someone already asked this question I appologize.

When I participated in another group challenge we always posted quick reviews in the team threads. Is that how it works here too?

Hi everone! My name is Jenny and I live in Wolverhampton in the UK. I moved here recently but have been lucky finding a job straight away. I work as a support worker for elderly people. I'm hoping to go to uni next year to become a nurse.

I'm 28 and in my free time I watch tv shows, love going to the cinema and of course I'm an avid reader :)

I haven't met a genre I didn't like but at the moment I'm on a fantasy binge which is good for page count lol
