35559 I am loving plague but I agree with Janine we have a wonderful team! I actually like the tasks but I kinda expected it based off Brittany’s last challenge (which Caipi hated because she also had a terrible team). If you ever need me to search for something don’t hesitate to ask!

Seconding Somebody Killed His Editor because I love JX and Kit!

The one thing with Lanyon I'd say is if a series looks good to you make sure it's complete. There's been a couple she dropped and she tends to overplan and need to scale back so things end up coming out later then they say so I wouldn't get too excited about upcoming books (I've also checked out her blog and it TOTALLY makes sense so I try not to hold it against her and just only read the ones I either a. really want to or b. they're all already out).

I can also say the WORST Lanyon series in my opinion are:

The Adrien English series starting with Fatal Shadows--although this is pretty much everyones favorite Lanyon series and a lot of people's all time favorite MM so YMMV
and
The Bedknobs and Broomsticks series starting with Mainly by Moonlight.

Both are because the LI is a terrible person and I don't believe the "redemption" arcs (I never finished B&B series so I guess it could turn around)

I usually cocaptain that one and we can request to be on the same team so I can help you out if we do end up together :)

Might be this one? I can't remember, I'll definitely send it to you when it comes around. It's a lot like this one with the spell part, but then there are also mini challenges that have tasks

Do you read romance? I like this one (but Kirsten did NOT enjoy it so I'd say take a look at past years to see if you'd like it): https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... (and here's a link to my past team thread if that helps: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...)

And then this is the one that Kirsten and Ashley were talking about above: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I think both these will overlap with Uno though

35559 Finished 1 I book and will have another one today. There's a narrator I really enjoy with an I name so downloaded quite a few.

35559 How many books can we have this time? Could we add some more?

All we have left is:

1 O and 1 U (And I can cover the O with my current book)

And then for scavenger we only have 2 rums.

I will forever stand up to say that Jake is complete trash 😂 The Holmes and Moriarity series is far superior and I don't know why most people love Jake & Adrien so much.

So reading this does that mean after 5 blue books are taken they don't count towards the extra? and it looks like people have 5 books planned already that count?

I was gonna reread the Lunar Chronicles series since all the books are tagged space opera, will just have to check enough tags (its 10x right)?

35559 I was also holding off on books that were shorter (like 200-300 pages) so will add a bunch tomorrow. And then some longer ones. Sorry for the wait on those! I don't know why it overwhelms me every month

35559 Hey all! I'm Amanda, I live in metro Detroit area with my husband and our 2 beagle pups and currently work 2 jobs as a lawyer. I've been doing challenges for a couple years now and I feel like I heard about this one through one of the rounds of Uno but this is my first time playing!

I read 90% MM Romance and 10% mostly non fiction books (but that 10% is sometimes split amongst some other genres.) For my Romance books I like paranormal or mysteries both (and the two combined is usually my favorite). For Non Fiction I'm pretty varied but I've been strangely into disaster and/or survival stories lol.

I have not seen nor read The Book Thief AND I'm not sure I've read a book about books. So don't have much to add lol.

My shelf is Wheel2022

35559 Here's another team challenge if anyone's interested! It sounds like it's similar to this one but it's not I promise lol

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

And here's a link to our spreadsheet last year to get an idea of what you'll have to do https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

If you wanna join you can say you want to be on the MM team and Laura will most likely put us on the same team :)
