I keep thinking the ball outfit is a baseball ball outfit! I'll have to see what I can find.

I listened to Plum Spooky on the way to visit my sister - It has a lot of food references in it, but it could also be a part of the funny titles I think.
I'd have to get the book out of the library to find the page numbers, but there are several grilled cheese sandwiches. And a peanut butter and olive sandwich (yuck?).

I just finished which was really good. I'm not sure what tasks it would fall under though.

I would say maybe the paranormal/UF?

Anyone up for reading a paranormal, urban fantasy or cozy mystery this week? There's one feminist slot open too!

I just finished [book:Kitchens of the Great Midwest|23398625. I read the large print version (much nicer on the eyes! Must be getting old...) so the page numbers are off for the evidence. I used the book's regular number of pages, and then just used the titles of the chapters for the places where they mention food and music.

And Gathering Moss was beautiful.

I really liked the two Jane Harper mysteries I read, but they are a bit darker. I also really enjoyed Wild Life, which was a memoir of someone who grew up in the back country of Botswana.

Does anyone have any favorite reads from this challenge?
For a cozy mystery, I liked The Existential Thoughts of Mags Monroe - available on Kindle Unlimited.
I’ll peek through the others and see what I enjoyed.

Oof. Being in an attic in a heat wave sounds down right miserable. I hope it really does cool down now. I hope your bf is back to snuff too.

I too love the cold and the snow, but the extra light in the summer time is a good thing for me.

No worries about the reading. I've had a good reading summer. There have been a lot of good books on our audio Libby app (through the library). It's been good to get house projects done while listening to books. Got the tub caulked today. So I'm ahead of my goal. I'll be out the first 9 days of August so I think it will all balance out well :)

I can't even imagine! We just walked from the day use area to our campsite, maybe 1/2 mile, and I felt like I was going crazy. 5 miles!
