Just back from a couple of days camping! Finished Fourth Wing, and should finish Winter of the World tomorrow.

I'm working through Winter of the World which is 900 pages or so. Working on finishing the BOM. Then, I'll see what we need :)

DQ Day 3 Chapters 14-20

10. So we are half way through the book. Thoughts and feelings? Loving it? Hating it? Ambivalent?

I really like it - I roll my eyes at Violet with all the - I hate him - I lust after his every breath - I hate him with Xander. I read the dragon parts with great interest, and mildly put up with all of the assassins. It's been a while since I've engaged with a book where I'm wanting to lecture it - or be with some of the characters (dragons) so I am highly entertained.

11. Jeremiah gets killed pretty quickly as his signet shows. Do you agree that power can't be allowed?

I thought that was kinda weird. There are some secrets about this war that are definitely being withheld. I was thinking about the X-Men with the whole mind-reading thing. Maybe if he could have a cool helmet like Professor Xavier - but maybe one that protects him until he needs it, it would be okay.

I think it can be allowed, so I think there is something deeper here.

11. What's the deal with Andarna? Why do you think 2 dragons have bonded with Violet?

Andarna is so cute!!
She must have some regal past that has to do with traitors / war.
I think Violet will need more than one power with her future.

13. Were you surprised about Amber's betrayal? How about when Xanden completely believed Violet but Dain didn't?

Wasn't she sleeping with Dain? Was she jealous? I was like, whatever. So many assassins...
