I thought I'd stop by here and find some recommendations that I can look into. There are just so many options.
Also, I totally agree with the head banging. Sometimes it just happens.
Does anyone have recommendations for "metal in title or series". I have NOTHING in my books or can find nothing appealing. Ugh this one is killing me.
Ok that makes more sense about the advantage of spells. I was thinking to myself, why am I using ALL these books just to LEARN the spells....and then I need to read a bunch more books just for a one time 20 attack. When I already have close to that with my sword+modifiers.
I guess i just need to decide how important these monsters are to me, or if I should save my books for attacking the Hydra and older monsters I haven't had a go at first.
Will magic be helpful with the Great White Dragon?? I assumed it was so that's why I started with the spell ingredients.

Diane - I don't know you're book tastes, but I found the Hamish Macbeth series's by MC Beaton (cozy mystery) are short and sweet and tend to depict Scottish landscapes on the cover so I've seen a couple wit sheep and horses.
