Please note: These questions are a bit early (depending on the part of the world in which you live) and since they cover the end of the book try not to read them - and especially the answers - unless you have finished the book!
1. This section begins at the start of the Aurora World Tour. We have the blue bus (Billy) and the white bus (Daisy). Which bus would you choose to ride on, and why?
I would be on Billy's bus. Daisy is just too wild for me.
2. The book had four strongly described females: Daisy, Camilla, Karen, and Simone. Which were you the most drawn to?
I actually really loved Simone. She was always looking out for Daisy even when she was doing something else and Daisy never seemed to appreciate it.
3. What did you think when you found out the name of the author? Do you think that given who the author is, maybe some of the answers in the previous sections of the book were changed or incomplete?
I was surprised that people would be so candid with her, so yes I definitely think they held some things back.
4. In the Epilogue, we learn what happened to each of the band members. Did any of these "endings" surprise you, or did they each turn out as you expected?
I was really surprised that Billy and Daisy especially turned out to live pretty normal lives after everything.
5. I thought the "One Last Thing" at the end (the email from Camilla) was brilliant. What do you think happened with that?
Oh boy this reminded me of How I Met Your Mother - not a fan that this was basically the whole plot point.
6. What did you rate the book and why?
I gave this book 2 stars. I guess this type of format just isn't for me - I found the characters cliched and flat and the plot was pretty dull. I think this interview format isn't suited to depth of character or a lot of development.

9. History is full of rock and roll bands with creative differences and disagreements between big personalities. This story is presented with interchanging POV's to highlight and give insight into this. What do you think of the opinions of each of the band mates and do you have any sympathy or empathy for any band mate in particular? Do you think that any of the animosity or disgruntled feelings are justified?
l do think it's funny when different POVs tell the same story differently - but nothing seems that unexpected knowing each person's personality.
10. The premise of the story is revealing the reasons that Daisy Jones and the Six imploded. At this stage of the novel what do you think happened? Disagreements over creative differences or some spectacular tragedy?
I think it's going to be all the complicated and not super positive relationships between everyone. But also suspect (knowing the author) that something super dramatic will happen.
11. Juxtaposed between the complicated relationships between Billy, Camila and Daisy, Graham and Karen seemingly are flying under the radar. Opinions on this and where do you think it is heading? Who do you think holds the power in this relationship and is it heading towards a Happily Ever After or acrimonious break up?
I think this is going to be a big break up because it seems like such a fun and easy relationship.
12. Married man, troubled single girl, intense emotional connection between work colleagues = big trouble!! Discuss.
13. As I get further into the book I find the rapid fire conversation and the intense interactions draw me deeper into the characters and the story compelling me to keep reading on. Are you enjoying the book in the same way? Do you find the story original or feel that you have read or seen it all before.
I have to be honest I am finding this book a bit boring. It seems like an overly long magazine interview and not much of substance is happening at all. I don't think it's original and the character's don't really stand out.
14. Mod Karen has revealed that the rights to this book have been optioned by Reese Witherspoon to make into a TV drama series. I think it's going to make great television. Who do you see in the starring roles? Established actors or is a star waiting to be born!
I personally am not loving the story so I'm feeling meh about a movie adaption. But I think it would be awesome to cast a little know actress to match Daisy's storyline.

I usually do the same thing. If it's song lyrics than I like to be able to hear them with a melody in my head.

5. During the making of Daisy’s first album, I appreciated her quote, “Being given things versus earning them. I was so used to being given things I didn’t know how important it is for your soul to earn them”. Do you think that Daisy will continue to think this way and work hard for the music she wants considering her increased drug use and drinking?
I think she will definitely continue to work hard - but I really think she will start to take everything for granted. Unfortunately that seems to come hand in hand with lots of success, especially with the drugs and drinking. I hope something happens to turn that around.
6. During the studio session for Honeycomb, Karen sums it up best as indicating that Billy wrote it as a song of security, and Daisy changed it to a song of insecurity. What do you think of the continuing duality between Billy and Daisy? Will it be good or bad for them moving forward?
I think it might be good for their music, but not so much for the band. I am waiting to see how they work together on their new album. Billy doesn't seem to be overly sensitive, but I can see why he was upset that she changed this song because of why he wrote it the way he did. But I also think it's interested how they have different views of the same lyrics.
7. Daisy is changing the dynamic of The Six when she joins the band
and states, "You’re only in charge of me as much as I’m in charge of you." Do you think this equality approach is going to work?
I love this. I don't know if it's going to work (especially since Eddie is already always feeling put out).
8. I'm a complete sucker for stories that have lyrics in them, are you enjoying the lyrics in this story? Do you have any favorites so far?
I haven't been reading the lyrics as I'm listening to the audiobook. I guess I'll get to that at the end?

1. This is a different type of book than I usually read. The interview formatting is interesting. What do you think of the formatting so far? Is anyone having trouble following it? I am reading it, but it reads like a podcast transcript to me so far.
I usually love "different" styles of books, but I'm still not so sure how I feel about this one. I am listening to the audiobook, which I think helps A LOT, but there are some characters that I still can't tell the difference between their voices, so it's pretty confusing. I think it might grow on me - I will have to see.
2. A main focus of the book seems to be the agency of the women in the music business. The two quotes that stuck out to me were “ I am not a muse. I am the somebody,” and “men often think they deserve a sticker for treating women like people.” What are your thoughts on this theme and quotes?
This is so important. So. Important. Because it still happens a lot today and even in other books I sometimes see men written as just so amazing because WOW they treat women like people. Like it's something they are so nice for doing. I love that this book is saying HEY, this is ridiculous - you shouldn't even have to consider how to treat women - just do it!
3. Daisy’s parents are absent and extremely unobservant. She is very young when introduced to drugs, alcohol, and sex. The interview style presents what is really horrific in Daisy’s description of parental neglect, drug use at a very young age and statutory rape, as far as I can tell, in a fairly detached fashion. Anyone else react this way to this section?
I couldn't believe this. And how they reacted when she came back home and they didn't even blink an eye?! UGH it made me so mad and sad for her.
4. The end of this section focuses on Billy and Camila. What do you think of their relationship and the choices that Camila makes? Do you think Billy will stay sober?
I can actually understand Camila. Luckily, I've never been in this position, but I can understand loving someone so much that you want to give them a chance to change and be the person you know they are deep inside. I am rooting for them, but also so worried about it.

Ok that's what I thought, but just wanted to check. I don't think she will ever show up - such a shame hehe
