Something weird is going on with the spreadsheet. I put ER Nurses in for Y20 which Lexi fixed but is now claimed by Truitt and Run Rose Run has Z14 for it's spot but it says ER Nurses. I'm sure it's just a matter of things being shifted around I just don't want us to miss out on any books

Day 3 Questions Chapter 14-20

10. Charlie and Nora make a bet that Nora can finish everything on the list but Nora is a tad doubtful but she's determined to push through for her sister. Have you ever made a bet where you're bound and determined to win but knowing deep down inside that you may be doomed from the start? (For example: If I took a bet where I had to do a tower of doom thingy at an amusement park, I'm going to need a blindfold, some alcohol, and some prayers, and not necessarily in that order!)
I'm a pretty blase type of person. I like to take risks but I don't bet on them because with me if it can go wrong it will go wrong.


11. We are starting to learn more about Frigid but I still want to know what the book is really about. Why do you think the cat has to stay?
No, idea about the cat and yes I am very curious as to what the book is about. Is it an intervention possibly?


12. Libby is a little bit of a hot/cold person. She can turn her emotions quickly and I'm not sure if all of that is due to the pregnancy. Any ideas on what has her so upset at times and why she needs to distant herself?
Maybe it's just pregnancy hormones or maybe she's having problems at home or maybe it's some type of identity crisis not really sure. She could just need a break from the stress of life.


13. Finally, we end this section with Nora and Charlie in Charlie's childhood bedroom. This is a two part question. One, do y'all still have bedrooms at your childhood home? Mine got repurposed after I graduated college but I always think it's interesting who still has one and who doesn't. Second, Charlie immediately sensed something had happened when he saw Nora in the room. What do you think of the progression of their friendship and do you think Nora will start to open up and lean on him more?
No, but I still remember it plain as day. I think they are getting closer and closer as they open up to one another bit by bit. Showing someone your childhood home/bedroom is a big step in opening oneself up. I definitely think as she trusts him more and more she will open up more as will he.

Day 2: chapters 6 - 13

6. So, "Frigid", the book within a book being written by Dusty and edited by Charlie. Fan fiction or a brutal hatchet piece?
I feel it's more fan fiction. Dusty seems like she really likes and respects Nora so I don't think she wrote it to be cruel.

7. We get more of the backstory of Nora's life. Does this history give you hope for her future as well as explain her current attitude towards love?
Well, it would certainly help to tie this book up neatly in the end if this is supposed to be the "perfect" romance story. It definitely explains her attitude towards love, love seems to have always let her down in the past whether in her own relationships or her mother's.


8. Libby is at too much of a loose end - setting up a fake dating profile for Nora & everything!? What do you think this says about the sisters and their relationship?
I think Libby is going mental! This pregnancy is making her into a whackadoo. I think they are very close but the whole fake dating thing is straining their relationship. It almost needed to happen for the book though.

9. So we've seen the failing business to be saved, been on a date to a karaoke night - are you enjoying seeing the Small-Town Romance cliches (and I loved that the song mutilated was the theme for that classic Small-Town, Second Chance Romance, Sweet Home Alabama!) being subverted?
I'm loving all the cliches! Yes, it adds more character to the book. I'm really enjoying this one.

DAY 1 QUESTIONS!!! prologue – 5 21%

1. The book opens up with the quote: When books are your life-or in my case, your job- you get pretty good at guessing where a story is going." Where do you think this story is going? Is this your first Emily Henry Book? Do you think it will be like any of the others if you have read them before?
This is my second book by this author and so far it seems very different. The first one I read was The People We Meet on Vacation. To me that one seemed more serious. I have a feeling this will all be tied up in a neat little package by the end. It seems very Hallmark movie-ish which is right up my alley.

2. Nora feels like she is losing Libby. She begins to notice all that they no longer know about each other, from Libby getting her ex's name wrong to the moments she has missed in the children's lives. Have you ever felt this way with a family member or friend? Did you ever do anything crazy to try to force the relationship back to what it used to be? How far do you think she will go to get this back with Libby?
I definitely have felt this way to an extent. My best friend lives in another country and it can be difficult for us to talk so I feel like I miss out on so much but at the same time when we're together we pick up right where we left off. She is my soul sister. Never did anything to get us back on track it just kind of happens and then we fall off track again. I have no idea.
3. Have you ever visited a place after reading about it in a book? If so, was it as you expected it to be? If you could visit any real place from a book, where would you go?
Absolutely! It was everything I expected it to be and so much much more. I would go back to Scotland or Ireland.
4. I loved the list so much and the banter between the sister over it. What is your favorite item on the list? What would you do to fulfill it?
I have two: date two locals or save a business-the down on it's luck goat farm lol Well, I would find two guys to go out on dates with from the bakery/general store/restaurant/coffee shop etc and second of all I would find out which business needs help and start a fundraiser with one of the aforementioned guys.

5. My favorite scene so far has been when Nora sends the message " What about Bigfoot erotica? .... As soon as I hit send, I snap to my senses. Why of all the words available to me is this what I said?” What’s your favorite scene so far?
That has to be my favorite as well, it brings back memories from past challenges hahaha

Vaidehi, I found a couple of articles on libraries that do e-cards for non-residents. I completely understand where you’re coming from with having to wait for books for a long time it’s so frustrating. I wish I had more information for you. If I think of anything I’ll let you know 🤔

It looks to me like you can get an e-card from Queens Public Library for $50 US for a year. It would give you access to research databases, e-journals, digital media and downloads. The Brooklyn Public Library is only for Brooklyn residents unfortunately. I’m sure there are other libraries out there that offer cards to non-residents for a nominal fee.
Google has a lot of books that the copyright has expired on them that are free. Also, Amazon has a lot of free books but may not necessarily be what you are looking for although I have found some good ones.

Crimes and Covers is 5th in a series. I can’t remember where I have it placed right now
