I joined this group to broaden my reading experiences and seek new Titles/Authors. I read virtually anything but don't read romance very often, I find them too light weight. Christmas in Friday Harbor was entertaining but I thought it was rushed. The story line is great, sweet beginning, sweet end. Lacked in-depth development of the characters. The characters are introduced, you like them, but I felt they were not explored in depth. I was able to visualize the attraction/flirting relationship developing. The sick child scenes and bachelors fixing Thanksgiving Dinner were easy to identify with and visualize, strong points in the book. But again, I felt like there were chapters missing or this was the condensed version... maybe I'm just used to the girl hates boy, boy likes girl, girl likes boy but boy now hates girl, etc, etc, romances.
