Could someone please mark that completed for me? Thank you!
@ Roe & Steven > My entire family are Disney fanatics! We used to go to Disneyland California twice a year! Now since the pandemic, we haven't gone sine 2018 :( Looking forward to seeing Galaxy's Edge next year....
What are your favorites? Mine are Pirates, Big thunder & Peter Pan (in no particular order)

DQs Day 1Ch 1 to CH 8
1.) What do you think of the premise of the book, like an aging rock band getting back together to go on tour but an adventuring band instead? Is the author pulling it off so far?
I think it's awesome! I am reminded also of the Blues Brothers. "We're getting the band back together. AND We're on a mission from God." That last part hasn't been said quite yet, but I feel it coming on... The author is SO pulling it off!
2.) The rocks, may have hit me a bit in the feels. Did it affect your opinion of Gabe at all? I liked him all the more for it. I also felt that it could be his form of penance for letting Rosie go off like she did.
3.) How do you like the world building, is it being done effectively for you without major info dumping? Is it helping to set the stage for the story?
I do like the world building, however, my capacity for epic fantasy has vastly diminished with age. I may have to resort to a pie chart or some sort of note-taking!
4.) What did you think about the parade? Did anyone else enjoy Clay's reaction to the ladies being whistled at and be disappointed when the lady blew a kiss back instead of skewering the guy (like Clay expected to happen)?
The parade was rather scary-sounding, especially the Chimera! If it can be killed, it should have already been done! I was a bit disappointed that the woman-warrior didn't at least trounce the guy who whistled at her. What good is being a badass if you still have to deal with idiots?
5.) Do you have a favorite character so far?
I would have to say Clay. He's a bit of a softie underneath it all. I like the way he feels loyalty to his old friend, but really decided to help because of their daughters. *sniffle*
Bonus: Taking a poll for a very important question. On the Tassel Farm: Centaur or Moose?
Definitely Centaur. They sound mighty dangerous, too!
Steven wrote: "I’m baaaaaaack on land! We have a six plus hour drive home, so I’ll update my books when I get home or first thing in the AM! I read 4-5 books! :)"Steven, to where did you cruise? My dream is to take an Alaskan cruise, but at this point, I’d be thrilled to just get onboard any ship to anywhere!
I can claim letter M in Atomic Tangerine with CFN Mackenzie in my book Murder on Cape Cod
If someone could put me down for that as well, please? That would be great!

Could someone please mark this as completed today? Thank you!
I can claim a bright green cover for Rainbow Towers with my book
Could someone put me down for that one, please?
I have a whole workbook full of ideas & plans! I’m still all over the place!
Gem ~ZeroShelfControl~ wrote: "I have read 750 pages and still havent finished a book!! I'll hopefully finish the 3 I have on the go by the end of the weekend!"Me neither, Gem! I have book ADD! I jump around from book to book apparently with no rhyme or reason. BUT if it makes you happy, it can't be that bad...(in the immortal words of Sheryl Crow.)
This usually comes in handy about a month into a big challenge when I will suddenly finish a slew of books. We shall just have to see.

EEEEwwww>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sophie!
Can we institute a no reptiles rule? I am scared of any & all reptiles. I feel as though I will die of a heart attack from just seeing one one day! I am even scared of baby geckos!

I desperately WANT to like Dune, but I just can't! I've tried (and failed miserably) to read it 5 or 6 times over the years, but I just can't! I almost tried again yesterday. I was in line to check out at the library & it was right next to me silently mocking and judging me... I did not check it out.
No two people ever read the same book. You should give it a try to find out if you can do it. I find as I get older that my ability to enjoy epic fantasy or sci-fi is rapidly diminishing!
Gem ~ZeroShelfControl~ wrote: "The night circus is very high on my TBR so I’ll read it this challenge"Meee tooo! I also got both BOMs from the library today & started Kings of the Wyld! Yaaayyyy!
I can also cover letter N in Atomic Tangerine for Crayola Towers with The Diva Serves High Tea CFN Nina. I should be finished any day now!
Could someone please put me down for that one? Thank you!
For Mod Towers, could someone put me down for Backseat Saints under Lisarenee’s books? I’ve been wanting to read it for awhile now…
Thank you!
Sophie wrote: "I've tried to get a list of all the pets people said they had and am now relying on Google to help me find pictures! If you mention your favourite animal, it might just pop up in the days to come."
Hmmm… I’ve always fancied tigers. They’re so beautiful…
So adorable! I want a puppy so bad! I visit the pet store puppies every Friday evening. Not too desperate, huh?

It’s very beautiful here, but we’re going to need to move in the next few years. We won’t be able to afford to live here once we retire, unfortunately.
Everybody wants to come to Hawaii & we all want to get out! We call it rock fever. I haven’t been anywhere since 2019! We went to Vegas and the Big Island of Hawaii. It doesn’t count when you exchange one island (rock) for another one…
It is 5 hours from Honolulu to LAX. Just imagine that I need to START with that in order to get anywhere! I’ve never been out of the country (except for Mexico when I was little.) This may be the year I get my passport and dream about travelling abroad…
Wow, Fallyn! That must be a truly ancient system! Even though we’re out here in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, we only have to wait for brand new titles in hardcover (maybe 4-5 months) or for old obscure titles. I’ve been waitlisted for a Stabenow mystery since January! Apparently there is only one copy & it’s become popular again! Sometimes it’s easier to get an actual book than an electronic one. The good thing is that our state system has no limit to books you can borrow in person, so I often check out 100+ at a time. For Libby, CDs & DVDs it’s 10 at a time…
