It's a Sci-Fi subgenre. It has steam powered carriages, automatons, dirigibles, ray-guns, etc. Here's a link to popular steampunk books:

For some reason I think the page limit is 125 in this group, but I wouldn't swear to it.

If we have at least four of us that can read for Steampunk we can do the detour :)

I'll be reading a Steampunk book later this week.

I like Steampunk - but most people do not. So, I'm good with Spell out if that's the way we want to go.

At least James Patterson is now I believe listing his ghost writers on his books too - like presented by James Patterson or something.

Hey all! I created a tracking sheet for our new Itinerary. Our first stop is:

1. Saarbruecken (DE) - Ufa (RU)
Ufa in Russia
Detour: Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as 2007 - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable

Seems like a reasonable detour. Do you all agree?

Do we still want to start May 1st, or do we want to start today? Or some other day?
