UGH!!! Adora's character is completely disturbing. How can a mother tell her child that she doesn't love her?! She is so absorbed in herself that she can't have a care for anyone else. (view spoiler)[ I presume that Adora is the one who killed the girls. Not only because she felt that she should have connected with them in a way she couldn't with Camille, but because they were described as "biters" that she fell victim to. (hide spoiler)]

Just finished Part 1:

Although there are many, I am enjoying the differences among the characters.

I am usually one to go for the underdog, so with that said, I feel bad for Nate. Well, I feel bad for all of them, especially when the police keep pulling them in to get them to talk.

I haven't yet figured out who I think it may be, but I'm sure that it was one of the 4 in the room with Simon.

Sorry. If that's the case, that will help in case I don't finish my buddy reads.

I may be wrong, but I think the book has to be started on or after July 31.

I am also planning to start a new audio tomorrow. It will work for Book 1/Task 1: Double L in the title Chasing Windmills

I am still rereading Harry Potter. I'll be moving onto Goblet of Fire next.

Both books that I'm starting on Aug. 1 will fit into Book 5/Task 4.

BOM Into the Water will fit MPG mystery and
Game will fit someone dies.

I'm just starting this today for Team Draco. I'm hoping for a good read.

I am only 4 chapters in, but it seems to me that Adora can only function with Amma as a child. So in a sense, she isn't aloud to grow up, and pribably doesn't have a need to for that matter.

I will finish Sharp Objects today and was going to start 2 other buddy reads. Just to be sure, we have until Tuesday evening to enter buddy reads?

I love the friendship that Harry, Ron, and Hermione have. J.K. Rowling made a great connection between this friendship and the friendship that Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs had in the past.

(view spoiler)[With forgetting so much of this book over the years, I completely forgot that Harry had that slight hope of moving out of the Dursley's and in with his godfather, Sirius. I'm glad, though, that Harry was able to find someone in his 'family' that actually cares for his well-being. He now knows that he will always have the help of Sirius within his reach. You have found the magic of Harry Potter. It is truly a relaxing and enjoyable read from ages 10-100.

When I started this reread, all I could think is "poor Harry." I'm not sure why the Dursley's would take him back, or why anyone at Hogwarts thought that was a good idea. Despite his blow up, I was happy that he had the chance to go on his own prior to returning to school. This experience seemed to allow him to maybe 'grow-up' a bit. He knows now, more than ever, that he really must take care of himself.

I'm in!
