Hello, Sorry I dropped off the face of the Earth. I was in the hospital, and I'm having a bit of a time getting back to life as usual. I have been reading in my time, so I will update this evening.
Hi Team! Back to reality. I didn't actually finish my "Countries" book until the plane ride home; a lot of time spent with my nephew and nieces (and it wasn't very good :/). Spending some time today catching up on the chat and new tasks.
Just checking in. I finished The Happy Ever After Playlist. I'm headed on vacation where service will be spotty. However, as a mood reader, I will be reading On the Surface which would fit in one of the itineraries for the Bahamas.
I will try to check in on tasks throughout the week.
I finally finished my first read. Also, I don't think The Happy Ever After Playlist will work for Australia, so I will keep my eyes open for something else that it fits.
Hi all! I am Ashlee from Pennsylvania. I am an 8th grade Special Education Reading teacher, so I definitely have a love for all things books! I read pretty much anything, but have discovered that fantasy is not really my thing. My shelf link is: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
I'm sorry I only ended up with the one book for this round. I had intended to finish another, unfortunately my mother in law passed away this week and reading has been impossible. I will check over the minis and plan better for round 2.

Oh man! I was just getting ready to add the SAME book.
Good Morning, I just wanted to check in because I have been silent so far. I have two completed reads to add to the spreadsheet. I will do that this evening when I get home from work.
Have a great day!
Hi, I'm Ashlee and I'm also from Pennsylvania. I am a middle school special education teacher. Reading is my number one hobby, but I also love baking and cooking. I'm excited to do Wheel. It's one of my favorite challenges!Shelf:

Part 3 - I didn't especially like the ending of this book. I have to admit that this was my least favorite of the series. While I expected her to make the life decision that she did, it seemed as though it was all just sewn together very quickly.

Part 2-I found the continued propos interesting. As a teacher, I think it would be interesting to see what students have to say about this use of propaganda.

Part 1- Finding themselves in District 13, the survivors are facing quite difficult lives. Everything they have known by being a victor is taken away. I think this would be incredibly difficult for Katniss because she realizes that this whole of the 75th Games was a plot to get her out safely. She now hold s the weight of the world on her shoulders.
Sorry for being MIA. I have just added 6 completed books for the tracking sheet. Unfortunately, I have not been able to read much about the mini. I am going to work on my comments for Mockingjay now for the additional BOM points.
I also started
today. I hope to finish it early this week while at the beach.
I don't have anything for this. I tried to get something from my library, but it won't be available in time.

DQs Day 3: 10. We read something that moves us, touches us, speaks to us and it... it changes us?"
Do you agree with that quote? Are there any books that changed you personally?
There are absolutely books that have changed me. Each time I finish a profound book, I have to take time to think it through and discuss with someone who has had a similar experience.
11. We finally get the first riddle. Did you guess it before Lucy did?
I was very proud of myself that I had figured this out before Lucy announced her answer. :)
12. What did you think of The City of Secondhand and of Markham showing up like that? Is he just a sleezy lawyer, or is there something more sinister going on?
I thought Markham was a terrible addition to the story. I have to say that I think something more sinister is going on. Afterall, how did he end up on the island without Jack or Hugo knowing about it?
13. Do you have to keep reminding yourself that the "contestants" are adults, not children?
No, I haven't thought of them as children. I do think that Jack, though, will continue to need this reminder.
