35559 Question about the holiday challenge: Can the goal be completed more than once? So if 5 of us in Team Anubis read a red book, will we get 50 points? I am guessing not but I was just checking since I am thinking that not all the goals will be this easy.

~ Read a book where a character works in a restaurant/bar

any already done with this?"

Well, I read the Six of Crow and the gang is based out of a bar/club that the leader (Kaz) owns called the Crows Club so there are characters serving drinks and drinking. Does this count?

"For the "Books Read" thread, I've also removed books that I have used for goals, that way when I need something specific and I'm looking through, I'm not looking through books that I've already used. I did delete a few before I realized they weren't on the Mummy Quest. If you happen to notice one of your books missing on the Mummy Quest, let me know"

For Mummy Quest, the only ones I see missing are:

Hamlet-- #10
Black Beauty-- #4
Sh*t My Dad Says-- #10 (grateful character)
The Road-- #6
Ruin and Rising-- #14
And just added War of the Worlds-- #8

35559 Completed "world ends" goal. 74% done with "tango" goal.
35559 November 29th Chapter 27- end

Here is the final set of questions:

30. Who ended up being you favorite character and why?

Inej because of her strength.

31. On page 392, Matthias tells Nina that Kuwei is "one of us" Who do you think he is referring to as "us"?

A survivor.

32. Kaz has the thought that: survive, survive, survive is how he has lived his life. Do you see this as in sync with his character? Do you see him as a character that survives through caluculated plans or luck?

Yes. A little of both.

33. Do you have a favorite quote from this book?

All the jokes.

34. What lesson or lessons do you think the author was trying to teach us through this story?

Watch your back?

35. Were you satisfied with the ending? Will you read on in this series?

No. Not sure. I like the Grisha series better but this one was harder to get into.

35559 Has anyone started a book for the "teach, teacher, coach or help in the title" goal? Here are some I have read before the challenge or on my TBR list if anyone would like to read:

The Help
Help for the Haunted
Help Thanks Wow: The Three Essential Prayers
Rich Dad, Poor Dad
The Wisdom of Psychopaths: What Saints, Spies, and Serial Killers Can Teach Us About Success
Unfinished Business: What the Dead Can Teach Us About Life
What Makes Olga Run?: The Mystery of the Ninety-Something Track Star Who Is Smashing Records and Outpacing Time, and What She Can Teach Us About How to Live
Lies My Teacher Told Me
Teacher Man
The Piano Teacher

Maybe reading the "Teacher's Edition" or "Teacher's Guide" of a book would work to. There are also a lot of romance/BDSM with the title "Teach Me."

35559 Here is a link from Amazon to some books with "it takes two to tango" in the book:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st_rev...

There is a lot of romance as well as some thriller/mysteries on the list so maybe there is a book that someone has already read or is on their TBR list. Double check that the excerpt on the right that has the exact phrase "it takes two to tango" because sometimes it picks up books that leave out or add a word.

I found a book on my TBR list so I can read one if needed...

35559 Does "at the beginning" mean she can't be a virgin at the end?
Team Anubis (1682 new)

35559 Yellow Star will cover the "MC is a virgin." The girl is 6 to 11 in the book and is hidden from the Nazis by family and neighbors.

35559 I read Othello earlier which was performed in 1604 but not published until 1622 (Shakespeare died in 1616) so this could complete the "book published after author's death" goal.

35559 Completed the "book without defined chapters" goal
35559 Discussion Questions for Nov. 28, 2015
Chapters 27-36

26. Wow, this was an exciting section! Kaz shows up after his encounter with Pekka Rollins covered in blood and lies to the group about finding him. Any new thoughts on what you think happened between Kaz and Pekka in that cell?

He at least beat Pekka up if not killed him

27. When Matthias showed up outside of Nina's cell with Brum, he totally had me thinking that he had betrayed the team! Did he fool you too?

Yep

28. Brum reveals that his people have been experimenting on the Grisha for at least 15 years. So apparently the Grisha are worth keeping alive only if they use their abilities under the control and direction of the Fjerda. Now that Matthias knows the truth about what his people have been doing, do you think he'll still return home after he gets his pardon (if the team is successful)?

No, because it was hypocritical of Brum and his country to call them an abomination and then use their powers.

29. Wow, those Tidemakers were scary! We've now seen Squallers and Tidemakers fight our team. Will they face Inferni? What would an attack from jarda-parem-taking Inferni look like?

Not sure.

30. The team's plans keep getting thwarted, and now with Inej captured, do you think the whole team will make it out alive?

No
