34860 How many of us are finished with it? Maybe we can start talking about it.

34860 Kathryn, so true. I'm trying to write a sort of review about it and don't know where to start. It will end up being just various thoughts about it, because I have no idea how to structure it.

34860 I finished it this morning. Wow! What an awesome read! I LOVED it!

34860 I will finish it tonight. All I can say now is that I wish I wouldn't have let other people's reviews put me off reading it earlier. I absolutely love it - even though I am dreading the ending. I fear that it won't be good.
edit: And with good I mean happy....

34860 Has anybody besides me started reading it? I started on the weekend and absolutely love it so far.

34860 OK, for everbody who would like to see a few pics of Engelthal, where the cloister in the book is located, I'm posting here a link to a blog post from last year. We went there in the middle of winter to have a look.

And the other week I blogged about the various covers of the book. If you would like to take a look at them go here:

34860 I was able to get a copy from my swap site. Fortunately I got the cover I like best, which is the one that is shown as the currently reading one here.
I haven't started reading yet, though.

34860 I am new to the whole read along or book club thing, so I have no clue really. But I was actually looking forward to reading the same book as everybody else.
What if everybody decided to read a different book? Is that likely or not? I'm not sure. I don't know how big the Buddy Reads group is and what the chances are to find a fellow reader there to read the same book compared to this group here.
I'll go with whatever the majority decides, but I would prefer one book for all, I think.

Here is my blog The Bookkeeper. I mainly, but not exclusively, review gay fiction and talk about book related topics.

34860 Wallace, I went there last year just to have a look at the place. If you are interested, I blogged about it at the time: http://www.rikkidonovan.com/index.php...

34860 I have been wanting to read the Gargoyle for ages, but never got around to doing it.
I live not far from the village where that abbey from the book was/is, so I am particularly interested in the book.

I'd be definitely in for this.

34860 Hi everybody,
I am Rikki from Germany. I saw Wallace mention this group a few times on twitter and got curious. When I noticed the book suggested for th September read I decided to join.

I have a book blog where I mainly - but not exclusively - review gay fiction and try to come up with other book related topics in between.

If I am not reading I am working at a hotel, look after my two boys or do some beading or digital scrapbooking.
