I don't know. I like these, but something's just not clicking for me. I liked her Black Hat series (my husband liked them too) and I read Elemental, but not all of Rylee, and Nix. Guess that's another reason why I'm sticking with this one - hoping it's a me/mood thing. #3 was the last in the vampire trilogy, next begins the werewolf set, might like them better? We'll see.

Claimed by Fate by Shannon Mayer
Series: The Alpha Territories #3
Shelf #K: K - Kindle Unlimited
Read: 6 Mar
Rating: ✮✮✮☆☆
My Review:
Three books in and I'm still not sure exactly how I feel about this series. There are bits and characters I like, but there are still those I don't. It's a quick, easy read, but sometimes things wrap up too easily. I was happy to learn more about Jordan and his relationship with Sienna; she finally seems to be accepting his choices and the reality of how it would've played out if things had gone differently in the previous book.
“Bah, blood is blood, but choosing your family, there be strength and true bonds in that too. Sometimes more.”I'll continue on, at this point, because I now need to know how things play out in all territories.

Nice! Looking forward to your review; blurb sounds interesting and its quick grab all the more.

I have my eye on When the Moon Hatched so ma..."
I stopped about 15% in WtMH. The writing was too flowery/poetry for me at the time. I'd had high hopes though, so I may try to return to it at some point if I get into the right mood for it.

😆

I found it better than a few of her series, but not as great as Blood Destiny."
Glad ya liked it 😊

Rapture in Death by J.D. Robb
Series: In Death #4
Shelf: Free Space
Read: 4 Mar
Rating: ✮✮✮✮☆
My Review:
They had both come from misery, she thought, and survived it. They had been drawn together through violence and tragedy, and had overcome it.I thoroughly enjoyed this installment, more than any of those previous. I prefer it when the bad guy isn't guessed so early on, but feeling I knew who done it way before the reveal didn't take away from my enjoyment.
Money might drip, she mused, but death had no respect for it. It was a club without a class system.I like it when Eve & Roarke work together on cases; their methods so different, coming at problems from opposite directions, but finding the answers together. Though a matchmaker may not have thought to put these two together, they're perfect for each other. It's a joy watching them grow into this new stage in their relationship, especially seeing Eve begin to express her feelings.
"We were supposed to watch videos, eat popcorn, and neck."
"You stood me up." He tugged on her hair. "I'll have to divorce you."
