Anya is awesome! I really loved her. She is strong, independent and crazy. Lucien and her together made the book so entertaining.
I'm the same with the Midnight Breed, Black Dagger Brotherhood, Dark Hunters, Immortals After Dark, lol. There's a lot to choose from and it's so hard.
Danika & Reyes's book is also great. You really feel for him. I'm not sure which female I like more, they're both strong women. I've read all the books and I'll say the decision doesn't get any easier. lol
I really loved Maddox in the beginning, but now I love Strider. And I mean, who doesn't love Paris? I know nearly everyone is waiting for his story.
This is one of my favourite series. I love how she blends the mythology into her stories. It's an amazing take on the Pandora mythology. I'm so excited Amun's story will be out at the end of the month.
i was kinda sad when red boar died, and i think we haven't seen the last of him......I agree with Paranormal, I don't know why Anna stay with her husband. Sven is totally in love with his 'sister'.
Ooooh I so love Rabbit. Can't wait for his book.

I was a fantasy reader first, so I guess thats why it didn't bother me. I am also a huge history buff, so all that info worked for me. I can't wait to order books 3,4 & 5. Like you they're going to have to wait until next month. Natasha, they do shorten the names, otherwise it would have bothered me too.
I finished the first two books already. I loved them. I never had trouble with the first few chapters, but of course thats my opinion.
I love Dante. When I read A Rush of Wings, I didn't think Dante and Heather could make it as a couple either. But Dante is so much more grown up that most 23 year old guys. He is one of my favorite leads, though. For me, there's just something about him. I don't know if its an age thing, as I'm 24. But, he's just RAWR!
I can kinda see the Jared Leto thing. Especially those blue eyes of his. Is Zac Efron to girly looking?
Heather is definitely an amazing character. I agree with everything you said Kyleigh. I really liked that she was willing to do anything to help. I didn't think her and Dante would 'mesh', but man was I proven wrong!
Although I have read A rush of wings it was several months ago, so I am going to go and buy a copy today, so I can catch up. I do own In the blood and Beneath the skin. Anyway, this is one of my favorite series ever. I did find it hard to read, because I felt like it played on my emotions. I always felt drained after reading them.
I had to use the glossary a bit, as I pretty much don't know any French at all. Mon ami and mon cher were about the only two I actually understood.
first person is good, like you said, you connect with the main character, but third person you get to know all the characters. I don't think these books would work in first person.
