Iorek sighed. "What now?" he asked, as much to himself as Shai.
Iorek patted Shai.
"Why a... Oh. I understand. I think."

((At the Inn, watching Iorek and Alex.))"What do you mean?"

He drew his sword.
Iorek smiled at Alex.

"She was stabbed."
He looked at her. "Er... this'll be hard." He kicked the door and someone opened it.
"I'm sorry." He took lighter and slower steps. They reached the inn.
"OK." He shifted her and carried her to the inn.
"Oh. Well... where do you want to go?"
He lifted her up gently. "Where do you stay?"
Iorek shrugged. "Are you better?"
"What does dinner or lunch matter? And... I doubt this is love or liking."
