My favorite aspect of my book " Nothing But the Night," is the way that it's written. This book is written in a very unique and different way. It puts one scene for the readeer to enjoy and then jumps to the next scene that has nothing to do with what happened. For example one scene was about how Cam loved his wife Jenna, then the next scene was talking about The anonymous nigh rider that misses his love back home. My favorite part was when Cam was describing how he loved his wife and how she excited him even sexually. Well, i can't really relate to this aspect of my novel at this instant because i'm not at all in love or married yet, however, my parents do love each other and will do anything for each other.
In my book, "Nothing but the Night," the type of conflicts that are involved are Man V.S. Man and Man V.S. Nature. My book is Man V.S Man because Cam is envloved in cheating on his wife. He is going through a tuff time in life and doesn't know which move to make. Should he stay with his wife or leave her for the persn that he's cheating on her with. However my book also involves Man V.S. Nature because this anonymous character in the story has a love back home that he keeps bringing up who is suffering from some type of disease that has left her in the hospital.
I would describe the mood of the novel as mysterious and sneeky. An example of my book being mysterious is the fact that the author, Bill pronzini, keeps the name of his character that's driving all around the world anonymous. Also, an example of my book being sneeky is the fact that Cam is cheating on his wife Jenna with one of the women that work at his job.
My favorite character in the book so far is Jenna, Cam's wife. Jenna is my favorite character because she is a perfect example of a loving wife. She listens to her husband, puts her foot down when needed, but still shows him love and encouragement. The author, Bill Pronzini uses characterization by making it very clear of how the character acts and how other people think of him/her. He uses descriptive details. Jenna personaly,is described as caring, loving, and smart. For ex, " her smile had become teasing, but her gaze was tender."
In my book so far "Nothing But the Night", there is a mysterious guy that is driving to all sorts of places around the world. However, he keeps bringing up the fact that he misses his love who is back home in the hospital. Another thing that's taken place, is that there is a father named Cam that loves his wife Jenna very much. But, he is hiding a deep secret from her and i have a feeling that he's cheating. I can't wait to read the rest of the book. I Think that next, Cam is going to come into some more trouble with his marriage and might even get divorced from his wife.
