50x66 My favorite of this book is the end. This is my favorite part because devon finally admitts to the crime that she commited and suffered the consequnces. I can relate to this aspect of my novel. This is because I confess to the things I did wrong in my past. When admitting to something that you have done then it takes off all the peersure.

50x66 In my book the conflict that is presented is man vs. man and man vs.society. An conflict of man vs.man is when a girl named Devon is not clear about what she has done to her new born baby. It was said that she through the baby into the garbage and left it there to die, but she still has no cule if she did this crime and now she is struggling with her self trying to determine the truth. On the other hand man vs. society is Devon dealing with a crime that she's accused of, and now she is faced with charges of attempted murder and has to deal with it until the hidden truth is uncovered.

50x66 I would describe the mood of my book are both tragic. The author establishes the mood in the begining and through out the book. The book became tragic when Devon a teenage girl was accused of attempted murder in the first degree, abandonment of dependent person in the second degree, criminal mistreatment in the second degree, and assault in the thrid degree. All this makes four charges and now it's up to Devo to figure herself out. Another example is at the end when she had to make a decisions on whether she should trun herself in as guilty.

50x66 The character in the book that I found the most interesting is Devon. She is known as a straight A student, soccer player with olympic dreams. Her mother is not supportive and when she was accused of attempted murder her mother was not even in the court to testify. It has been said that her mother left her once but this time she felt it was because of her. She felt disapointed and because she gave birth to a baby she now,has to deal with the changes in her body. The day in the court room her breasts felt as if it was being stabbed with a hundered pins like they were two huge pincushions. When milk came out she gasp in shock and began to cry.
Quote: " Milk. My milk. Oh, God, Why?

50x66 So far my book called "After" by Amy Efaw ia about this girl who skiped school because she wasn't feeling well. Devon was experincing singns of pregnancy. When her mother came home she was wasn't wondering why Devon didn't go to school, but about spending time with her straight A daughter. then policemen appeared at their door because someone gave brith to a baby and left it in the garbage to die, so they asked questions to the neighbors inculding Devon. She then felt under pressured and went crazy then hit her head on the floor and ended up in the hospital.I think whats going to happen next is that devon is going to run away.
