It's not just you, Jim. Fatal Alliance wasn't a very good one.

@Grave: So true! Sometimes I wonder if upper admiralty had a shorter life expectancy than stormtroopers.

I guess the level of Fett's involvement in the EU depends on whether you know it's him or not...

I am at work, and thinking about Star Wars (as you do), and I started wondering: who is your favorite character that gets less than fifteen minutes of screen time and/or less than 200 pages in the whole EU?
I'll go first: the classic, the fishy. The "IT'S A TRAP!!" guy. Admiral Ackbar.

This choice was pretty much unanimous. Enjoy!

...I'm noticing a pattern here.
Anyone else?

I'm here! I'm paying attention this month!
We only have a few days left in August, so go ahead and nominate a book for the September Holocronies Reading Room by either posting it here or sending me a PM. I'll post up a poll tomorrow or the next day.

Do, or do not. There is no try.

This is the latest in a long line of books about where everything we love comes from. I've been listening to Jedi Journals (part of the ForceCast network,) and they can't seem to praise this book enough. Let's just say I was really glad when a bunch of people here suggested it. So what are you waiting for? Let's get every copy that our libraries have!
Happy reading!

Sorry! My bad. Still recovering from the move. I'm thinking that we can do two books in August again, doing both The Last Command and Into the Void. I'm kinda curious if anybody is actually participating in these conversations, though. Let me know what you think.

Until then, why don't all y'all post up some suggestions?

I'll try to post a poll about the August book tonight...

Yaaaay!! I've been officially moved back to America for a week, and am finally starting the book!!

What we did with
Heir to the Empire last month was just a read/comment style. But each month is different, so y'all can read through as you like. But I guess we have a few days to wait until it's released, right?

Awesome. I'm getting ready to move back to the States, so hopefully I'll be able to get going on it when I get back...hopefully not a pipe dream.

I feel you there. We're going to be moving back to the States in about a week and a half (July 16 will see us back in Utah.) All of our books are there, so I'll have to get cracking on Dark Force Rising as soon as possible. But I need to get through the timeline to that point, although I don't have to slog through NJO. Good luck!

By popular request, those of you wanting to move on with the current EU books also have the option of enjoying
Troy Denning's newest book, Crucible. Happy reading and happy commenting!

Because of the fantastic results of last month's read through of
Heir to the Empire, this month will give you the option of reading Dark Force Rising or
Crucible. Enjoy!

Sounds like a plan. I'll get it posted up!
