I started the Grey Man series and I'm SOOOOO happy I did!!! I'm just sad I finished his first two books already and am halfway through the last one, "Ballistic".
In about a week I'll be right back to square one looking for another similar series ugh!!!

How about Court Gentry's pain pill addiction in The Grey Man series by Mark Greaney!! I especially laughed in the second book when he was in a hide along side the kidnapped president of Sudan and he shot himself up with a syringe full of morphine!!
- "You should see the roof of this hut bro, it's beautiful" hahahaha

John Gilstrap!!! One of my favorites. Actually the author whose books introduced me to this genre!! Check him out. High-Speed!!

And if anyone's read the Jericho Quinn books, gotta love his armored leather jacket developed by DARPA. AND his HUD in his motorcycle helmet!!! Lol ima nerd so what. These books are my life sometimes!!

Definitely want some 550 cord (para cord) if anything as bootlaces so I could escape any zip tie bindings (assuming they're in the front of my body). And can't ever leave home with a folding knife, preferable a spring loaded, fast opener by the likes of benchmade or gerber. Filtration Tube--> Awesome Call!! Especially if operating south of border!

Gunny Sgt. Kyle Swanson fa sho

Whose the author of FirstvTeam? Or is that the name of the series?

You like Kyle Swanson Dave? Total bad ass right lol. Have you also read Gilstrap's "Jonathan Grave" series??? I haven't noticed many who have read that series. That was my first and all time favorite.

Check out John Gilstrap and Jack Coughlin!!!

I love Jack Coughlin's "Kyle Swanson" series so I'd have to nominate book 1, "Kill Zone".

Ok "First Team" huh? Is that a series-type novel kinda like Thor's Harvath or Flynn's Rapp series? Good character development?

Ryan, I know EXACTLY where youre coming from as I just finished all of the Rapp books and feel like a chapter of my life has come to an end lol. I read two series before I was introduced to Flynn and they both will always be some of my favorite books.
1)MOST FAVORITE OF ALL---- Jack Coughlin "Kyle Swanson" series
2) John Gilstrap, "Jonathan (Digger) Grave" series
Both are incredible books/series with amazing characters that remain throughout all the books in the series.
Hope you try these two as they are two of the greatest series I have ever read.

So, I know I'm not alone when I talk about the anxiety that has washed over me after finishing the last book in a series. After reading a few different series, I can't help but feel incredibly lucky that I was able to stumble upon some amazing books...just for context purposes, I started with Gilstrap's "Jonathan Grave" series, Coughlin's "Kyle Swanson" series (FAVORITE), and just finished all of Flynn's "Mitch Rapp" series.
Before I dive into a new series, I wanted to know if anyone had any good recommendations for me based on the three series (above) that I've read so far. My interests are sparked by anything Military/Spec. Forces, Black Ops, Tactical, etc.
I LOVED the Jonathan Grave and Kyle Swanson series!!! Mitch Rapp series was intense as well, though not as focused on military as much as CIA/Spy thriller.
I'm sure I'm not alone when I voice concerns about diving into a new series as, once I get started, its awful hard for me to stop, thus the reason I want to be careful in my next selection. Any Recs that may relate to the series mentioned above?
Thanks!
