I just wanted to let everyone know that I sent out their books the day after I received the list of winners. Hopefully, you'll receive your books soon and this will spark some dialogue in this group. :)

I wrote TORN at the time because the subject and the characters were what interested me most. It's like I had these nagging little voices inside my head that needed to get out. You're right though, it is somewhat of a controversial subject and I suppose I could've played it safe, but instead I just went with what my mind and heart were telling me. So far I've received many positive reviews. More of those reviews will be posted on my website tonight at
http://www.closetcasepress.com. I am anxious though to see what the older young adult crowd thinks of my book. I can only hope for the best!

Welcome Everyone to the TORN Q&A Group! My name is Amber Lehman and I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the novel, TORN. Let me first begin by saying this: although this is a Young Adult novel about middle-aged teens, the suggested reading age is 17 and older. Why is this, you may ask? It basically comes down to that it’s a mature novel for teens. Meaning, that this isn’t Twilight—intimate scenes are described. If this doesn’t bother you, then you should be fine. But I know that some teens are uncomfortable with anything too graphic and I just wanted to give you a heads up. So anyone with questions for me, feel free to ask away!
