25350 Just finished The Innocent by David Baldacci

Pretty good thriller- though I cannot say it was David Baldacci's best- quick read but not very interesting lead character- rather one-note and just enjoyed his earlier books more

Agree totally! I own most of the Shannara books- love them- especially Elfstones of Shannara- I don't really see them as "rip-off's of Tolkien..more like Tolkien started a whole new genre- Epic- multi-volume fantasy- and so many wonderful writers have come since to carry on the torch!
25350 I really enjoyed David Eddings books
The Malloreon, Vol. 2 Sorceress of Darshiva, The Seeress of Kell (The Malloreon, #4-5) by David Eddings The Malloreon, Vol. 1 Guardians of the West, King of the Murgos, Demon Lord of Karanda (The Malloreon, #1-3) by David Eddings

I enjoyed Forever Odd- just wish that there were more characters- about 200 pages were devoted to Odd's attempt to free his friend in a broken down casino - had it not been for how likable Odd is- I probably would have been unable to read a book that over 2/3 of it took place in one location- but I really did enjoy it!
