25350 I am reading Tripwire (Jack Reacher, #3) by Lee Child by Lee Child. A very well written and suspenseful book. Written in 1999, the many scenes that take place in the World Trade Center are a bit unnerving

25350 I love Modern Family. Rare for me to like a current sitcom. But I really like this show!

25350 I am almost done with Saucer: Savage Planet
At first I was quite disappointed as I found it far more simplistic that Coonts splendid Jake Grafton books. And then about 100 pages in.. I got it! Coonts was spoofing not only his earlier books, but the 24hr news networks, DC politics and the general tendency of the public to react first and think second. A very funny novel indeed.

I heard about this book. Has to be fascinating

25350 I prefer less description and more dialogue.. while I appreciate having a "mind picture" pained as far as locations, three pages devoted to minute details has me screaming for action!!

I agree! Mockingbird is pretty much a perfect film in every way..different in several ways from the book, in that several sections of the book were left out of the film..which is to be expected

actually..if you read Cell by Robin Cook ..realize that you will be left with a cliffhanger ending..just like the dreadful Nano by Robin Cook ..Cook apparently is writing a trilogy..and not bothering to let his readers know that the first two book do not have an ending..you have to wait for the third..or forth..to find out what happens to the main characters..rather unethical of the writer to hide this fact from readers and promote the books as self contained thrillers which they are not.
25350 I have to say I enjoyed the new version of Godzilla..wish it didn't take so long for the big lizard to appear on screen! but when he finally did, was pleased that he looked like the classic Godzilla, rather than the over sized gecko look from the Matthew Broderick film (which I liked too..except for the cgi)
