P.I...you do bring up a good point.. some shows are truly timeless- they will always be superior- regardless of age..Columbo is a great example- it was brilliant in 1970's, and is far better than anything on today..some shows do age poorly..matter of opinion..I find that watching many of those, though,does give me a sense of fondness- remembering far more simple times..yet there are shows that always will be great...regardless of age.. to me The Honeymooners and The Odd Couple will ALWAYS be the best sitcoms! Along with Columbo, Kojak, Rockford Files and Hill Street Blues will never lose their shine!

There are simply no words to decribe the horrific tragedy in CT...beyond comprehension..still numb with horror over the senseless loss of so many truly innocent lives...just beyond any words to describe the pure evil involved and the heartbreak for those children and adults- as someone who has taught kindegarten..just utterly beyond my ability to express the heartbreak, I am sure we all feel.

and The Times of their Lives!! my brother's favorite and I think one of the few - if not only- film in which they did not play partners- rather separate roles

yes!! I was quite surprised as usually not very fond of current (post 1950!!!) romantic comedies!
