I have to say..I still watch Hardcore Pawn.. but last several episodes have seemed MUCH MUCH too scripted..like they need a plot-line each show "Les is losing it" "Les buys a fake watch..oh but seller mentions at last second he has "more" at home".."Who can sell an antique item first..oh..and just then someone comes in to sell an antique so they can now really have a contest"...liked it better when not so obviously scripted

Carol wrote: "Bridget R. wrote: "I love romance but can there be a book where the hero/heroine are simply ordinary looking? It's either they're both extremely beautiful or there's a "beauty and the beast" theme..."EXCELLENT point Carol...I always enjoy the character actors more than the stars as most stars are interchangable...your mention of Macy and McDormand ...I cannot think of anyone who could have been more perfect in Fargo! James Mason always considered himself a character actor.. and his diversity in over 100 films proves that..brilliant - regardless of role..size or quality of overall film.
Cary Grant is an interesting exception to the rule..I always considered him to be one of the few leading men who were just as entertaining and funny as the character actors..just watch him in His Girl Friday..his comic timing was beyond compare!
