I saw the film and loved it..such an emotionally absorbing film..never read the book. I enjoyed the film so much..worry that the book will affect my view of the film

I read that when it came out decades ago! I loved it. Connelly is still great, but I loved his ealry novels best

I have got to read more of Zahn's books. I read the one and really liked it Dark Force Rising (Star Wars The Thrawn Trilogy, #2) by Timothy Zahn

wow!! never knew that too! I hope they rebroadcast his reading..I missed it..I have never seen him give a reading, but from his books you can see that he does a great deal of research. What I love about them is that he does not try to beat the reader over the head with a ton of facts, but rather places them perfectly within the overall narrative

Clarke is a brilliant writer..he really is able to bring his subjects to life. Searching for Paradise A Grand Tour of the World's Unspoiled Islands by Thurston Clarke is one of the finest travel books I have ever read..Clarke captured the people and places so perfectly..felt I needed to really "unpack" when I finished this book!!

Iscah..do you have a favorite Star Wars author? I read one of Zahn's books..have not read any other writer's take on the series..

I read The Jungle years ago for school..it was more of a manifesto then a novel..certainly important in it's influence..yet I found it very difficult to read

Recently read this ..a most magnificent example of early fantasy/sci-fi! I love all of his books, yet this series really had me glued to the pages..very ingenious!!!

I agree! I also did not expect much..yet was blown away by how absorbing and entertaining it was. The transfer to HD is very good, but not as pristine as other new films. This is because of how it was filmed
